Bill Grants Pass
American Legion Junior
baseball enters the second
half of contention on Wednes
day in the southern division
of Area 4.
And. Medford and Grants
Pass do the honors.
They meet at 7:30 p.m. at
Memorial field, White City.
Medford's Cokes return to
the VA diamond after a
week's layoff from game ac
tivity. This will be their sec
ond loop meeting with Grants
Pass. At GP early in the
month, Medford took a count
ing game 2 to 1 and a kings-x
second ruckus 5 to 1.
This contest will give Med
ford, now 3-1 and tied with
Central Point, an opportunity
to reassume first place alone
in the circuit. By the same
token, the Climate city team
has the chance to pull the
Cokes into a knot for second
spot. Grants Pass is 2-2 and
deadlocked with the Klamath
Falls Falcons for third.
Beat Falcons
Grants Pass showed itself
a team to be considered in
the race by beating the Fal
cons last Saturday. GP took
