Anders, abouv 10:15 o'clock this morning. The fire started when trash burn ing got out of control, fire men raid. There was little damage. All Counties Report Official Vote Tally Salem - HOT - All 3fi coun ties have reported their May 18 primary election totals. The official canvass of the primary will be released Tues day. Multnomah County got the last part of its tally in late Friday, and final, official state totals in all races were being checked today. The official count is expect ed to confirm victories declar ed election night through un official returns compiled by news media. Funeral Services Set Tuesday for Mrs. Lausmann Funeral services for Mrs. Grace E. Lausmann, a resi dent of the Rogue Valley Manor who died Saturday, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tues day at the First Presbyterian church. Dr. D. K. West, pastor of the church, will officiate. In terment will be in the Med ford IOOF Mausoleum. Perl Funeral home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Lausmann. the daugh ter of William Stewart and Jane Lamb, was born May 17, 1890, in Clay county, Minn. She moved to Oregon in 1909, and was graduated from Hood River High school in 1910 and from Oregon State Nor mal school at Monmouth, after which she taught school in Hood River county and in Minnesota. She was a member of the First Presbyterian church, Daughters of the Nile, Eastern Star, PEO, Jackson County Women's Republican cljb, Medford YMCA, director of Kogap Lumber Industries and Lausmann Foundation, and took an active interest in the Humane Society.- Her favorite charities were the Shrincrs Crippled Chil dren's hospital and the Salva tion Army. On Aug. 21, 1916, she was married to Anton A. Laus mann, who survives. Other survivors include one son, Jerry S. Lausmann. Medford: one daughter, Carol S. Ken nedy, Medford, and six grand children. Casket bearers will be A. K. Morse, Robert Robinson Jr., Chester Hubbard, Ray Frisbie. Walter Garner and Jack Walker. HOWARD HOLMES Ashland - Funeral services for Howard Holmes, 65, for mer valley resident who died Sunday in Bothell, Wash., will be held Wednesday at 1:J0 p.m. in Litwiller's Moun- tain View chapel. The Rev. Arvin W. Winkle of the Ashland Seventh-day Adventist church will offici ate. Interment will be in Mountain View cemetery. Mr. . Holmes was born March 14, 1807, in California, and had been a local rancher since 1928. His wife died in 1958. Survivors include a son, Richard (Dave) Holmes, Riv erside, Calif.; his mother, Mrs. Earl Woodruff, Lake Port, Calif.; a brother, Roland Holmes, Medford; three sis ters, Mrs. Ellen Gardner, Tal lahassee, Fla., Mrs. Lucile Cole, Bothell, Wash., Mrs. Dorothy Portugal, Santa Rosa, Calif., and four grandchildren. BATEMAN Funeral services for Samuel William Bateman, 60, of 250 Beatty St., Medford, who died Saturday, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Conger Morris downtown chapel. The Rev. George Rosebcrry of the First Methodist church will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Loyce Carver of the Apostolic Faith church. Committal will be in the Eastwood Odd Fel lows cemetery. Mr. Bateman was born March 22, 1902, in Chotcau, Mont., and had lived in south ern Oregon since 1910. For 10 years he had owned and op erated Stark Vacuum Clean er Sales and Service. He was a member of the Methodist church. He was married Nov. 6. 1929, in Roscburg. to Gene Whilock, who survives.
