Music (Bar pain Bell iGod's Spirit On the Air By ELEANOR WIESE One of the most unlikely places to find a television re ceiver is 10,000 feet in the air 65 miles off the coast of Cuba. This airborne television system is one of three recent technical developments to im prove TV news coverage. To overcome the ban im posed by the Cuban govern ment on the export of news films to the United States, CBS News conceived the in genious arrangement of mon itoring Channel 6, Havana, Cuba, in a DC-3 plane equip ped with special television and recording equipment. It was determined that op timum conditions were achiev ed In a flight pattern involv ing a broadside sweep 65 to 73 miles off the Cuban coast at elevations between 9,000 and 12,000 feet. Air speed was reduced to 120 miles per hour. Now, any event broadcast over Cuban television can be seen the same day by American viewers. A new and revolutionary wireless portable television camera the only one of its kind was used for the first time during news coverage snowing the interior of Astro naut Scott Carpenter's Auro ra 7 capsule. A product of Japanese ingenuity, the small, 20-pound camera solves the problem of getting a live cam era close-in to important news personalities and sports action without sacrificing picture quality in poorly-lighted situations. The third technical develop ment, a space camera called a BU-TV scope, brought tele vision viewers unusually close views o2 the Atlas space ve hicle in flight over Cape Ca naveral and the separation of the missile from its booster rockets. A powerful telescop ic lens is utilized. 1:00 CBS New Ncws, Party 1:15 Music Houseparty 1 :30 woman's WorldlABC News 1:45 S ports, Music lEmphPsla 2:00 CBS Nowb INews Hear 2:15 Music Hear 2 :30 Woman's WorldlABC Newa 2:45 Sports, Music lEmp h aula Newa Hear Illcar I ABC Newi (Emphasl ISnfcty (Serenade (Newsline IBill Lively INew Rcnort!Snt..
