C. Janke of Longview, Wash. She plans weddings for brides on shoe strinK budgets just as a hobby. "The first time I attempted such a thing was in 1950," writes Mrs. Janke, "When a close relative of mine felt she couldn't afford a church ! wedding. I convinced her, that with my help, she could. "I soon found out how littU I knew about planning waddingi and receptions, but witb the aid of the June Bride section of our local newspaper, the bride and I started out. We had to bor row many things from friends and relatives, but the result was a beautiful wedding. And a new hobby began for me. She asked me to take charge, which I did gladly. "I made a list of all the things she needed to con sider and made the rounds of the stores to price the necessary items. When she arrived home, we went over the list together to decide what things we could omit without losing the effect she wanted. She borrowed my dishes and table linen, and we picked up the rest of the wedding supplies at the stores where I had priced them. All this look only three hours. "The planning of weddings has become so interesting to me that I have put together a 'workbook,' using a compo sition notebook, and in it I have collected newspaper and WAI T'C TV & RADIO II ML I O SERVICE "Oldest Shop in So, Oregon 2300 So.
