Inc., has accepted appointment u volunteer cochairman of the 1963 Red Crou campaign for member! and fundi, the 37th National Red Crosi conven tion was adviied here Mon day. Linen will serve on the na tional campaign team with Fred A. Bantz, former under secretary of the Navy who also was cochairman for the 1962 campaign. Linen s appointment was announced by E. Roland Har r i m a n, volunteer national chairman of the American Red Cross. Harriman said the 1962 fund raising campaign would net $86.6 million substantial gain over 1961. . The disclosure came as the administration introduced its bill to authorize $138,113,000 for Atomic Energy Commis sion projects. The bill in cludes a provision that would increase the cost of the Han ford reactor by $50 million. A spokesman for the Joint Atomic Energy Committee said costs of the reactor have gone up because of difficul ties in construction. He said the money is not earmarked for a steam plant that gen erated a hot congressional bat tle last year.
