Newspaper Page Texto Three Ashlanders Named to Group Ashland - At the Ashland city council meeting last week Mayor Richard Neill appoint ed Kooert B. Reinholdt. Glenn Simpson and David Fortmil- ler to serve (or three-year terms on the budget commit tee. The nominations were ap proved. Simpson is now a member of the committee. In other action the council referred to the state liquor commission a request for a Class B package liquor license from Z. A. Zimmerlee, own er of the Lithia Grocery, 47 North Main st.; gave South ern Oregon college students permission to advertise the Limeliters concert by sound truck in downtown Ashland; approved purchase of $32,200 Bancroft bonds for the year's paving, and heard a petition for paving North Main st. from Fox st. to Ashland Mine rd. The polling place will be in the Oak Grove school from 2 to 8 p.m. Area A covers a small area in the middle of Arnold lane and involves only one property owner, Lloyd Hamlin. Area B covers the area generally south of Cherry lane. A hundred per cent of the property owners involved petitioned for the annexa tion so no public hearing was necessary.
