Rogue River Installed Chapter Heed Bogue River - Mrs. Alyce Archer, .third grade teacher in" the Rogue River school system, has been installed as president of the Jackson County Chapter of the Ore gon Education assqeiati'on. The installation ceremony was held In Mcdford April 24. Mjs. Archer is a graduate of Rogue River high school and first taught in this school system from 1936 to 1942. After an absence of 14 years, she returned in 1956 and has taught in the elementary school up to the present. Her teacher's training was obtained at Southern Oregon college and San Jose State 19 Finish Butte Falls Fire Course Butte Falls - Nineteen po tential firefighters of the Butte Falls District of the Rogue River National Forest have completed a two-day ses sion on fire crewboss training, according to Randall F. Per kins, Butte Falls Ranger. This annual event included instruction on leadership, or ganization, management, and safely of fire crews. The use of chemicals dropped by arr tanker was discussed by Douglas Finch, fire dispatcher on the Rogue Forest. Finch stated that a new feature has been added to assist in the initial attack on lightning fires. This in the addition of a helicopter equip ped with a 125 galhm tank to be stationed at the Mcdford airfield. Four Central Point Residents Cited For Violating Dog low Central Point-The Central Point city council ordered en forcement of its dog control ordinance recently - and the order is getting results. Central Point police said they cited four, residents into court last week for violating the ordinance. The law requires that all dogs be kept on leashes in their yards from April to July. luella J.
