Tuesday the scene changed, and the Oregon Women's Golf association held a sweepstakes tournament. Shorts, sweaters and spiked golf shoes replaced the elegant attire of the day before. Pictured above are Mrs. Robert Wells (at left) and Mrs. Leonard T. Anderson, both of Cold Rey estates, during the Monday luncheon. ' If A Mrs. Thomas Montgomery (center), Portland, is president of the Oregon Women's Golf asso ciation and played in the sweepstakes tournament held Tuesday at Rogue Valley Country club. Mrs. Lloyd Brooks (at left) of Rogue Valley held low not score in Class A, and Mrs. Robert Palmer was low gross player in the Class B section. The judges, as modishly turned out as any of the 10 they chose, were (left to right), Mrs. Fred Spiegelberg, Mrs. Frank Van Dyke and Mrs. Edward C. Mrs. Helen Davies (at left) of the home club was one of three tieing for second low net in the cham pionship class; Mrs. R. L. Borst (center) of Portland Golf club, took best gross score in the championship class, shoot ing an 82, and Mrs. Hal Basserman not only played but reported the event as well since she writes Tee Talk, golf column carried in The Oregonian, Portland. The threeom pictured here had just come off the course after the last round in the Oregon Women's Golf association tournament Tuesdoy. Mrs. Richard Finch (at left) is a member of Rogue Valley Country club here. Mrs. Elmer Er'and (center) belongs at Riverside Country club, Portland, ond Mrs. Jerry Blum is a member of Salem Golf and Country club. Each carrying a nosegay of purple violets ond little pink rosebuds, the 10 "Fairest Women" chosen at the annual Easter Monday luncheon of St. Anne's Altar society stood on the Rogue Valley Country club torrace for pictures. Chosen were (left to right), Mrs. David legg, Mrs. Paul R. McCulloch, Portland; Mrs. James Mullaney, Mrs. Ernest Flokus, Mrs. Dan Hull, Mrs. Jerry Olson, Mrs. Bessie Riley, Mrs. E. D. Davis, Mrs. Michael Popow, Phoenix, and Mrs. Lewis Ulrich. The traditional party! attracted more than 450 women this year, and from all sides came the comment!
