wise Easter Services Scheduled Throughout Area
Six Services To
Be Held Sunday
By 1st Nazarenes
Six simultaneous church
school and worship services
will be held at the First
Church of the Nazarene,'520
North Holly st. Sunday from
9:45 to 11:30 a.m.
These services are being di
rected by several departments
of the Sunday school which
are giving their Easter pro
grams. The nursery children,
Mrs. A. F. Stewart, supervi
sor, will have their classes,
song's. Bible stories and rec
ords extending into the wor
ship hour. The kindergarten
department, supervised by
Mrs. C. W. Foster, will hold
an Easter program of recita
tions and songs at 10:30 a.m.
following the' usual order of
their department meeting.
The Easter story will also be
presented.
Mrs. Kenneth Laurance, su
pervisor of the primary de
partment, has announced an
Easter program followed by a
film on the resurrection. Each
child is to receive a gift. Mrs.
Hex Goble. supervisor, wilL
show the junior department,
the movie. "Jesus Before the
High Priest" following class
sessions. They will also have
a program followed by a film
on the resurrection.
The junior high and senior
high departments combine for
Easter activities and a color
film, ' I Beheld His Glory."
The adult department will
not have its normal individual
class sessions, but will have a
panel lesson. Easter music
will be presented in this de
partment by the junior and
primary choirs.
Sanctuary Choir
At the close of this service,
(he sanctuary choir will sing
'Were You There" under the
direction of Perry Christian
sen, minister of music, and the
pastor, the Rev. Harold M.
Sanner, will give the Easter
message on "A New and Liv
ing Way."

College Men's Glee club from
Nampa, Idaho, will present a
sacred concert at 7:30 p.m. Di

A part of the days services
is the annual Easter offering
for the world missionary pro
gram of the church. The
Church of the Nazarene now
has 560 missionaries around
the world and 38 new mission
aries under appointment.
The First Church has re
cently organized boys and
girls clubs in conjunction with
the denomination-wide club
program, under the general
heading of Caravans. First
clubs organized are Indian
Maidens and Indian Braves.
The clubs will hold a kick-off
pnw wow Tuesday, April 24.
at 7:30 p.m. Mrs. Roy Green,
Corvallis. senior guide of the
Caravans, is to be the guest
speaker.

The annual pilgrimage to
the top of Table Rock moun
tain Easter Sunday will start
at 4:45 a.m., according to Dal
las Purcell.
A simple service, which is
nondenominational will be
held on the cliff. Purcell said
that it is not a difficult walk
to the top of the mountain.
Breakfast will be served
afterwards.
The pilgrimage will start
from the Purcell residence.
Motorist should drive on
Table Rock rd. to Highway
234, turn right to Meadows
rd., left on Meadows rd. to
Beagle rd., and left at Beagle
rd. for about 2V4 miles. Beagle
rd. is a dirt road, Purcell said.

from Phoenix, Ariz., In July,
1961.
The new concrete block
building was started several
years ago and was built by
donated labor. It will seat 250
persons.
The interior has a laminated
beam ceiling, mahogany pan
eling and indirect lighting. A
stained glass cross is on the
west end of the building.
Mrs. Collier will direct the
choir for the Easter service. -
The church was started in
1933 and for a number of
years held services in the oM
Reese Creek schoolhousc.
Later the property was pur
chased and donated to the
group. Due to the growth of
the congregation the old struo .'
ture was no longer adequate.

local Kingdom hall of Jeho
vah's Witnesses, 2402 Jackson
ville highway. The 4 p.m. lec
ture is entitled: "Is this the
world's last generation?"
