lative session. At this time,
residents of Jackson county
would be invited to bring
their questions to him con
cerning legislation and air
any problems having to do
with the state government,
he said.
"Communication between
the voter and his elected rep
resentative is usually broken
off as soon as the campaign
ends. I would maintain a pipe
line between the state legis
lature and the 73,962 people
who will be affected by the
action it takes," Stathos said.
Declaring that a public of
ficial cannot be a true rep
resentative of the people with
out knowing their problems,
the Republican candidate also
said he would hold meetings
In various parts of the county
during the months when the
legislature was not in session.
