Police said Miss Moreno, who has been involved roman tically in the past with Bran do, took the pills at about 1 p.m.. in the West Hollywood home of a girl friend. Accompanied by the friend, she then went to Brando's home on fashionable Mulhol land Drive. Brando was not at home at the time, police re ported. She .. became unconscious and someone called the hos pital. Dr. Robert Kositcheck examined her and summoned an ambulance. After emer gency treatment, Miss Moreno said she had taken 10 Seconal tablets, but she refused to give other details. "It is difficult to escape the conclusion that regardless of the conflicting diagnosis and .' prescriptions and the claims of union officials, the forces of supply and demand .. . . should determine wage rates and wage levels," the chamber said in a 14-page re port. The study said this ap proach to- wage raises "would lead to a stable or a slowly falling general price level and improved values." The report, entitled "pro ductivity and wage settle ments," was prepared by the chamber s Economic Advisory Council. Bill Curbing Farm Picketing Approved Salem-flJTB-A bill aimed at cutting down on sudden farm picketing during peak harvest seasons won 8-2 approval Wednesday from the Senate Labor committee. Sen. Alfred Corbett CD Portland) and R. F. Chapman (D-Coos Bay) declared the bill was unconstitutional to the farm laborer and would fail to protect crops. The bill would prohibit picketing by any person un less he had been employed at the farm in question for at least 7 days. Originally the bill set the time at 30 days. Aim is to prevent an organ iser from coming in at a time when ripe crops must be pick ed Immediately and throwing up a picket line.
