All Jackson County Home
Extension Units will have a
lesson on calorie conscious
meals during April. Mrs. Le
ona C. Sheehan, county home
economics agent, gave the
lesson to project leaders last
-week.
This lesson gives informa
tion on the nutritional value
of foods and the planning of
low calorie meals. Proper
weight control is covered
and the calorie count of many
of the common foods in
every-day menus will be
pointed out.
People sometimes have the
Idea that many reducing diets
are not very appetite appeal
ing, but '.his is not necessarily
so, according to the leaders.
With some thought and menu
planning, attractive, -tasty
meals can be served during
weight reduction.
