The public is invited. Sale-Jacksonville Garden club will hold a plant, rum mage and packaged food sale Saturday, March 25, in the Jacksonville Community hall. Miniature roses, primroses and dwarf michaelmas daisies will be included. The sale will begin at 9 a.m. Grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Kellington are parents of a boy, William Bruce, born March 16 in Eugene where Kellington is attending the University of Oregon law school. The boy weighed 7 pounds, 9 ounces. Kellington is the son of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Kellington, Medford, who are now visit ing in Eugene. Weather Obituaries WILLIAM HARRY MYERS Funeral services for Wil liam Harry Myers, route 3, box 122, Medford, who died Thursday, will be held Satur day at 10 a.m. at the Chapel in the Trees in Siskiyou Memorial park. The Rev. Frederick R. Evans of the First Christian church of Med ford will officiate. Private in terment will follow in Siski you Memorial park. Mr. Myers was born in Grand Mound, Iowa, Nov. 6, 1893. On Oct. 8, 1919, in Rock Island, 111., he was married to Thelma M. Hall, who sur vives. He had been an employee of the Associated Gear and Machine company in Los An geles, Calif., for nine years. Mr. and Mrs. Myers had re sided in Los Angeles for 40 years, prior to his retirement 2V4 years ago when they moved to Medford. Surviving, besides his wife, is one sister, Mrs. Jesse Bar ber, DeWitt, Iowa. Siskiyou Funeral Service, directors of Chapel in the Trees, is in charge of arrangements. ORVILLE C. HANSON Orville C. Hanson, 61, of Prospect, died on Thursday morning. The body is being forwarded by Conger-Morris, funeral directors, to Aber deen, Wash., for services and interment. Mr. Hanson was born Dec. 28, 1899, at Mt. Iron, Mich. He was a highway engineer with the bureau of public roads, and had been in Prospect for the past year and a half. He was married Dec. 14. 1929, in Elma, Wash., to Cecelia A. Riemann, who survives. Other survivors include a son, Robert C. Hanson, and a daughter, Mrs. Leala J, Bur gess, both of Aberdeen; two brothers, Harry A. Hanson, Redding, Calif.; and Ben R. Hanson, Dayton, Ohio; and a sister, Mrs. Ethel M. Forder, Ely, Minn. LYLE PURDIN Lyle Lee Purdin, 68, of Manzanita, Ore., died March 16. He was born in Medford Jan 12, 1893, a son of the late Mahlon Purdin of Medford. He was a veteran of World War I, and served with the seventh company, Oregon Na tional Guard, as a first ser geant. Mr. Purdin was a teleg rapher with Union Pacific and Southern Pacific railway companies. He was a member of the Order of Railroad Telegraphers, and of the Ma sonic lodge at Wheeler, Ore. burvlvors include one daughter, Mrs. Bethel McAl lister, one grandson and one granddaughter, all in Manza nita, Ore.; two sisters, Mrs. Angie Talent, Newberg, and Mrs. Mary Lingaas, Medford; two brothers, Lee E. Purdin, Escondido, Calif., and Fred A. Purdin, Medford. Funeral services were held March 21 in Memorial chapel in Tillamook, under the direc tion of Wheeler lodge.. AF&AM.
