The announcement on Howard's injury came shortly after the Dodgers' 16-15- victory over the Milwau kee Braves in which John Roseboro hit a pair of two run homers for Los Angeles and Al Spangler had a triple and three singles for Milwau kee. Henry Cooper Stops Erskine New York- IUPII -The execu tive director of Feature Sports Indicated today that fancy-dan Henry Cooper has replaced heavy-fisled Sonny Liston as the most likely next opponent for heavyweight champion Floyd Patterson. Baylor, who averaged 39.4 points a game in Los Angeles' 3-2 Western division semi final playoff victory over the Detroit Pistons, took right up against the St. Louis Hawks Tuesday night in the opening game of the division final series by scoring 44 points. ' That boosted the Lakers, who finished second to St. Louis in the regular race, to a 122-118 victory and a one game lead in the division final series.
