He is a former jet fighter Instructor and major in the Air Force Reserve and has spent 20 years in radio and television. Background Sweeney, a teacher and fobtball coach at St. Mary's school, was nominated partly because of his work with hos pital patients, especially am putees. McKibbon also is a teacher and , coach at St. Mary's, and has worked with youth in community activi ties. The YMCA nominated Pierce for his work with the northwest area council for the Y and reorganization of com mittee structure at the Med ford Y. He is a salesman at DeVoe Lumber Sales. Dr. Phillips, who operates Rogue Animal hospital, was special events chairman for UMC and Is district chairman of the Big Pines district, Boy Scouts of America. , Gardner was chairman of last year's UMC, which was one of the most successful crusades held here. He is employed by the California Oregon Power company. Terry Green was recently appointed to - the Medford planning commission and has served as a member of the Jaycecs board of directors. He is a representative for Mu tual of New York Life In surance company. Keener, head purchasing agent for Munger Creek Dam Project Explained Williams-A meeting for dis cussion of the proposed dam on Munger creek was held last week at the Williams school. Leo Clark, Grants Pass soil conservationist, presented in- Medford Steel company, has served as commander of the Civil Air Patrol, Medford area, and worked with the youth honor day program sponsored by Moose lodge. Hall is training officer of cadets for the Civil Air Patrol and is a committee member for formation of a Boy. Scout troop for Griffin Creek dis trict. He is area representa tive for Lever Brothers. formation about the proposed plan. William Katzenbach was elected chairman of the group. John Lathrop was named vice chairman and Mike Rak, secretary-treasurer. The organization has no for mal name. However, it is nec essary that such a group be formed before the soil con servation service can investi gate possibilities of the proj ect. Cost, storage capacity and exact location of the dam will be studied. The three officers met with the soil conservation service officials yesterday to continue discussion. Gable's Widow To Enter Hospital Encino, Calif. - (UPD - Clark Gable's widow said she will enter Presbyterian Hospital Saturday to give birth by Cae sarian section "probably Sun day or Monday" to the actor's only child. Mrs. Gable is going in the same hospital for the delivery where the big-eared actor died of a heart attack Nov. 16, 1960.
