Lowell Red Devils B School Charrms Bend - (UPD - Lowell's Red Devils have their first Oregon scnooi class B basketball championship. Lowell won it Saturday night by beating lone 52-49 on a three-point play by little arry Dixon in the final six seconds. Dixon, a 5-6 guard, hit a 25-foot field goal and then made a foul shot on the same Play. The final game, watched by an estimated 2,100 fans who upped the three-day, eight team tournament attendance to an estimated 6,700, was close all the way. lone held a 12-11 first quar ter lead and Lowell was on top at 27-25 and 37-36 at the end of the half and third quar ter. Swanson Totals 77 Al McDaniel of Lowell wound up with 26 points and John Swanson of lone, who finished as the tournament's top scorer with 77 points, had 27. Portland Christian captured third place with a 60-52 vic tory against Powers and Fos sil gained consolation honors by coming up with a 56-52 win over Prospect. Named to the all-tourney team "were Swanson and Fran cis Rea of lone, Gary Brown lee of Portland Christian, Mc Daniel of Lowell and Bob Fitch of Prospect.
