The balls represent cattle being driven into the loading chute, while the fly swatters represent the prod ders which cowboys use to turn the cattle in the direction they want them to go. For the drive, place two chairs back-to-back (the can yon pass), use four table legs as handicaps to get around (the winding trail the cattle must take), and place a paste board box at the far end of the room for the loading chute. Each player takes a turn at getting through .the chair can yon pass, around the four-leg trail, and into the pasteboard loading chute as quickly as. possible. Each player is timed, and the quickest one is the winner of the Last Roundup. Many people challenge the claim of the Catholic Church that it is infallible in matters of religion. "No human being is perfect," they will say. "No institution run by human beings can be in fallible." Many believe the Bible fills this need. However, since num berless fallible people interpret the Bible... and often in direct con flict with each other, the Bible cannot supply the need of an unquestioned source of Christ's teachings. For Catholics, the in fallible source is the Catholic Church, established for that pur pose by Christ Himself. . The Church is the infallible source of religious truth because it was established by the Son of God for that purpose. We know from the New Testament that Christ in structed Peter and the other disci ples to "teach all nations" . . . that He gave them the power to for give sins in His name . . . that He appointed Peter the first head of His Church . . . that He prom- ised to send the Holy Spirit to guide and protect the Church against human errors and the as saults of evil forces. Peter was divinely appointed to be the shepherd of the flock of Christ. In his lifetime, he was so recognized by the disciples and by the early Christians. He was also, according to Holy Scripture, in structed by Jesus to appoint others to spread Christ's teachings to suc ceeding generations. This contin uation and succession of authority was obviously necessary if Christ's Church was to fulfill His promise to endure for all time and against all enemies. We know that Peter was the first Pope of the Catholic Church . . . that all of the Popes down SUPREME COUNCIL KIUGHTS of COLULHBUS RELIGIOUS INFORMATION BUREAU 1422 LINDEll BLVD. .-J'ikx ST- LOUIS 8, MISSOURI through the centuries are his suc cessors . . . that the Church which existed as Christ's Church for the first Christians is the Catholic Church as it exists today.
