' Taylor, 424 King street, cele- Art Show and Benefit tea At Center Open to Public Germany, Bavaria and Swit zerland to the Arm Chair Travelers at the Senior center Monday, February 27 at 1 p.m. This is the second show ing by Mr. Schempp, who took the group on a trip to South America last week on a cargo liner visiting ports in Colombia, Peru, Chile and Central America. These pic tures showed the life on board a freighter and also scenes on land including industries, and living conditions. At this afternoon's event new members may sign up for classes and for volunteer work with the Rogue Valley Council on Aging which spon sors both the center and the Medford Fifty Plus club. Chris Schempp, 2117'Hill crest road, will show colored slides and moving pictures of Schemmp and his brothers tend an art show and benefit tea this' afternoon at the Sen ior Activity center, 601 East Jackson street. The event is being given by the advanced art class, which has met the past year under the direction of Mrs. Victoria Staley, Eagle Point, to focus attention on the center and its varied pro gram and the need for a building. Hours are from 1 to 5 p.m. Proceeds derived from the event will be put in a build ing fund. They have lived in Mcdford since 1927. Mr. Taylor who is now retired, started the Taylor Produce company in Medford. The couple's daughter, Mrs. O. K. Roughton, Urbana, III was unable to be present for the event. Ashland Visitor Luncheon Guest Ashland - A visitor at the home of her parents, Mr, and Mrs. Harvey Bullis, 134 High . street, has been Mrs. Roy Dahlin of Pasadena, Calif. During her stay in Ashland she has been renewing long time friendships and last Sat urday was honored guest at an afternoon party given by her sister, Mrs. Bert Freeman, 733 South Walker avenue. White Ashland - The engagement of Miss Carol Lynn Baker to Richard A. White has been announced by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilson C. Baker, 441' Terrace street, Ashland. Mr. White's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Richard G. White, Jacksonville. Miss Baker is a graduate of Ashland High school. Both are employed at Rogue Val ley hospital, Medford. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Brophy, 22 Sum mit avenue. Mr. Milanl is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Neil Wooldridge, 1939 Roberts road. The Rev. Robert Cull offi ciated at the seven o'clock evening rites. Red and white carnations decorated the church. Leon Stansfield and Jim Nellson sang. Given In marriage by her father, he bride wore a floor length white gown of Alencon lace over taffeta. It was fashioned with fitted bodice, long sleeves and bouffant skirt. The neckline was ac cented with pearls and irides cent sequins and her finger tip length veil was held by a pearl crown. She carried a bouquet of white carnations. , Miss Dorothy Jean Harton, cousin of the bride, was maid of honor and ' bridesmaids were Carol Lynn Brophy, sis ter of the bride, and Miss Linda Gail Thomas, Alameda, Calif., another cousin. ' They wore white brocaded sheath frocks with red chiffon ac cents and carried red and white carnations. John Muller served as best man and seating the guests were Kenneth Morris, Larry Eskew, Nicholas Stanfleld and Bryon Nelson. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the church attended by 90 rela tives and friends. Miss Harton caught the bridal bouquet. The couple traveled to Sur prise Valley, Calif., on their wedding trip, the bride wear ing for traveling a white bro cade sheath' dress. They are making their home at 525 West Tenth street. The bride and bridegroom are graduates of Crater High school. Mr. Milani Is em ployed by Singler's Auta Sup ply company. Open House Last Sunday Marks 25th Anniversary Ashland -In celebration of their 25th wedding anniver sary, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mackay, 507 Palm avenue, held open house for more than 60 of their friends last Sunday afternoon from 2 to 5 o'clock. The color scheme of pink and silver prevailed in house decorations and flower ar rangements. Pink and white snapdragons and pink roses filled the silver bowl which centered the tea table. Wedding cake was served to the guests by Mrs. Richard Brown, while Mrs. Marlol Peters presided over the punch bowl and Mrs. William Weber poured coffee. Others assisting were Mrs. Clifford Maust and Mrs. Herbert Specht. Linda Weber had charge of the guest book. 1 For the occasion Mrs. Mac kay chose a turquoise satin sheath with matching pumps and wore a pink carnation corsage. Mrs. Peters, a member of the Dcluzo Trio composed of Mrs. Weber, Mrs. Mackay and Mrs. Peters, sang. She was accompanied by Mrs. Floyd Clapper. The three vocalists have appeared together for a number of years and are well known in the valley, es pecially In Eastern Star cor clcs. The anniversary festivities concluded with an evening c 3 dinner for 18 at the Rogue Valley Country club, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Loguc, parents of Mrs. Mac kay, flew to Ashland from Whiltlcr, Calif., to join In the celebration. The couple's two sons were unable to attend. Elder Larry Lee Mackay is serving in a mission of the Latter-day Saints church in San Antonio, Texas, and Don Mackay is stationed on Okin awa with the Seabees. Among out-of-town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Morris Boughncr, Medford, and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Van Hoosen, Yreka, Calif. Group To Hold Meeting Tuesday The February meeting of Kiwanian Dames will be held at the home of Mrs. K. E. Hutchinson, 22 South Keene Way drive, at 12 o'clock noon Tuesday. Assisting hostesses will be the Mcsdames E. T. Anderson, William Cobb, Ben Roeser and A. M. Savard. Sandens Return From Trip South Mr. and Mi's. G. O. Sandcn, Wcstover heights, returned to their home last week after spending six weeks in Texas and California. In Ft. Worth they were guests of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Sloll. In San Diego they visited their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. GaRe Sandcn, and In Riverside, Calif., were with Mrs. Snndcn's sister. Mrs. Vivian Pathman. They also visited relatives in Red lands and Compton prior to returning to the valley, Rocks. Minerals Topic for Group F. B.
