A Lenten mission, to be

sion clubs, studying all phases
of the mass, meet nearly every
night and some days of the

meeting of the Christ's Am
bassadors of the First Assem
bly of God held Jan. 31, new
oltlcers were elected for the
coming year.

elected president and Bryan
Nelson was re-elected to serve
as vice president. Other of

Classes of instruction in
religion and the basic tenets
of the Christian faith design

Why have those who claim to follow the Bible not found
religious unity? Men have rejected it while claiming to follow
it. Many, seeking to follow it permit themselves to be guided by
various sets of wrong rules of interpretation and still others re
ject the word for the traditions of men. How could any book or
any voice bring about unity when men reject all or part of it?
The Bible will bring about unity ust as surely as anything else
if men will heed it. The fault is not in God's word but in men
Read your Bible. Study and learn it. It is God's word to every
man.

the family traveled to Seattle

Coast association board meet
ing of the church. While in
the area they visited with the
ministers and families from
Lynnwood and Bellingham,
Wash., friends of the local
minister. '

The Bible does not merely contain
God's word it is God's word. Some two
thousand times the Bible affirms, "Thus
saith the Lord." .
Some have suggested the Bible cannot
be our sole guide in religious matters.
They have pointed to the divisions among
those who profess to follow it as proof of
the inadequacy of the Bible. Yet this does
not follow. Paul said "God is not the
author of confusion" (1 Cor. 14:33). Yet
God is the author of the Bible. The deeds
of rebellion and division have always been
even before the Bible.
