had married the bride's par
ents 30 years ago, and her
brother and sister-in-law, Mr.
and Mrs. John Paul Winler
halder, 14 years ago.
The bride wore a gown of
champagne colored embroi
dered silk organza with short
bouffant skirt, three-quarter
length sleeves and wide shawl
collar. Her. headdress was
brief champagne colored veil

rance Peoples, son of Mr. and

The ceremony was perform
ed December 23 in the Church
of the Nazarcne, Reno, Nov.
The bride's parents and her
brother Steven, were present.
After a short honeymoon
spent in Nebraska, Mr. and
Mrs. Pc o p I e s returned to
southern California where the
bridegroom is in training with
the United Stales Marine
corps. '

In a ceremony held December
30 at First Presbyterian
church. Dr. D. Kirkland West
officiated at the double ring
ceremony held at eight o'clock
in the evening.
The bridegroom's parents
are Mrs. Maria A. Goldsby,
San Francisco, and H, B.
Goldsby, Purccll, Okla.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a floor
length while satin gown. Men
con lace trimmed the scoop
neckline and outlined the
gathered oversklrl which end
ed In a chapel train. Her el
bow length veil was held by
a pearl and lace band and
she carried a bouquet of three
white orchids.
Miss Karen Andrews, Boise,
Idaho, served as maid of hon
or and Miss Karen Kelly, Jef
ferson, Ore., was bridesmaid.
The attendants are Alpha Chi
Omega sorority sisters of the
bride. They wore red pcau dc
sole frocks and carried white
fur muffs trimmed with holly.

Forbes, San Francisco, and
Clyde Wheaton, cousin of the
bride.
Baskets of white chrysan
themums decorated the
church. The Rev. G. Robert
Jacks was soloist.

was best man for Mr. Huson.

near the fireplace of the liv
ingroom of the Scott home.

Valley Visitors
Eagle Point-Mr. and Mrs.
Tom Staley and Mr. and Mrs.
Don Staley had as holiday
house guests Dr. and Mrs. P.
G. Flack, Boise, Ida., parents
of Mrs. Don Slaley.
Dr. Flack returned home
after a brief visit, with Mrs.
Flack remaining for a longer
stay. Mrs. Flack, who Is an
antique dealer in Boise, spent
a week visiting valley antique
shops and also attended a
number of parties in Medford.
She then returned home, ac
companied by her son-in-law
and daughter who are spend
ing several days in Boise.

Mr. and Mrs. Edwin N. Nel

way, will hold an open house
for friends and relatives in
observance of their golden
wedding anniversary Satur
day, January 14, at the First
Assembly of God church an
nex. The event will be held
from 3 to 7 p.m.
Linda Ohenchaln presided at
the punch bowl. Mrs. Lonnle
Kellenberger, Salem, poured
coffee and Mrs. William Gib
son, cousin of the bride, was
in charge of the guest book.
The couple traveled to San
Francisco and Washington,
D.C. on their wedding trip.
The bride attended Medford
High school and Oregon State
college and has been in the
reservation department of
United Air Lines, San Fran
cisco. Mr. Goldsby attended
San Francisco schools and
San Francisco Stale college.
He is currently on military
leave from United Air Lines.
The couple are now at home

Williamsburg, Va.

are Mr. and Mrs. James R. W.

home, 47 Renault avenue. The

with pink roses, tapers and
silver leaves. The wedding
cake was cut and served by
Mrs. Paul Ashby, Miss Janene
Tracy and Miss Louise Lull.
Serving punch were Miss
Dallas Barnard, Miss Nicolee
Ober, Richard Barnard and
Gary Newton, Mrs. F. C.
Tracy and Miss Joyce Leon
poured the coffee.
Mr. Huson and his bride
are making their home at 1540
Stratford way. Mrs. Huson has
operated the Colleen Hope
Dance studio here for a num
ber of years and is widely
known in southern Oregon.
Mr. Huson is a broker with
the Lambert and Voegtly
Lumber company.

ents, Mr. and Mrs. Dale S.
Collins. The couple is newly
married. Mrs. Eshaia, the for
mer Gail Collins, is a student
at Lewis and Clark college,
and her husband attends Port
land State college.
The Collins' son, Samuel
Collins, was also a guest of
his parents. He resides in
Downey, Calif.
During her visit here, Mrs.
Eshaia was honored at a
bridal shower. The party was
given at the home of Mrs.
Nina Duscnberry. Mrs. John
Bruce was co-hostess, with
Mrs. Collins assisting.

Philharmonic To
"Hansel and Gretel" Here
The fairy opera, "Hansel
and Gretel" will be presented
in mid-January by the Phil
harmonic Society of Southern
Oregon. Two performances
are scheduled, the first on
Saturday. January 14, and the
second Sunday, January 15.
both at the Medford High
school auditorium.
Curtain time for the Satur
day performance will be 8
p.m. and the Sunday program
will begin at 3 p.m. Members
of Ihe Philharmonic Society
guild will serve refreshments
between acts.

to David Myers Eosworth. The
Rev. George R. V. Bolster
read the marriage rites at four
o'clock in the afternoon.
The bride is a daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Leath,
Camden, Ark., and the bride
groom is a son of Mr. and
Mrs. Harlan Page Bosworth
Jr., of Medford and the Apple-
gate. He is a grandson of O.
V. Myers, 20 Ashland avenue,
and the late Mrs. Myers, and
of Harlan Page Bosworth
Buffalo, N.Y.
Church decorations were of
poinscttia blossoms and holly
wreaths and tall white tapers
illuminated the scene.
The bride, given in marri
age by her father, wore
gown of Chantilly lace with
long sleeves, scoop neckline
edged in tiny embroidered
flowers and pearls, and a full
skirt over taffeta with chapel
length train. Her elbow-length
veil of illusion was held by
a wreath of pearlized flowers.

Hold Party
A group of Medford students
home for the holidays attend
ed a party sponsored by their
parents.
The young people gathered
at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Myers Jones, 49 South Modoc
avenue, for ho'rs d'oeuvres
and punch, and then went to
Rogue Valley Country club
for dinner and dancing.

Mrs. Lewis Ulrich is now
home in Medford after a visit
of several weeks with her son
and daughtcr-i-law, Mr. and
Mrs. Russell Ulrich and
daughters, Susan and Cathe
rine, who live on Long Island,
New York.
While in New York Mrs.
Ulrich saw a performance of
the Broadway show, "The Un
sinkablc Molly Brown" and
the off-Broadway show, "The
Tenth Man."

wore the wedding ring of her
maternal grandmother, Mrs.
J. P. Lee of Fort Worth, Tex.
The bride's engagement dia
mond was a gift from the late
paternal grandmother of the
bridegroom.

Matron-of-honor was the
bride's paternal aunt, Mrs.
Warren Meredith Weiseth, Eu
gene, who wore a slim-skirted
short dress of red brocade
with matching red opera
pumps and a red headdress of
net and lace. She carried gar
denias. Mrs. Larry Thompson, Eu
gene, Mrs. Andrew Rapp and
Miss Judith Persons, both of
Portland, were also attend
ants. They wore identical
frocks of red brocade fashion
ed with full skirts, scoop neck
lines and three-quarter length
sleeves. Their small head
dresses were of white lace and
net and each carried a white
fiir muff with sprigs of holly
pinned on it.
Little Maureen and Peggy
Hughes, nieces of the bride
groom from Salem, were flow
er girls. They wore full-skirt
ed white dresses embroidered
in red and their headdresses
were white flowers and net.
They carried petite white lace
baskets filled with red carna
tions and holly sprigs.
Robert Lathrop Bosworth
served his brother as best
man, and Michael Leath,
brother of the bride, Harlan
Page Bosworth IV, Berkeley,
Calif., another brother of the
bridegroom, and Andrew
Rapp, Portland, were ushers.

The wedding of Miss Betty
June Bryant, Grants Pass, to
Bobby Ray Wilson, Central
Point, took place Thursday,
December 29, in the First
Christian church, Medford.
The bride's parents are Mr.
and Mrs. Claud William Bry
ant, Route 1, Box 296, Eagle
Point, and the bridegroom is
the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben
jamin Ellsworth Wilson, of
Route 2, Box 668-G, Central
Point.
The Rev. Frederick Ross
Evans officiated at the single-
ring ceremony, which was
performed at 3:15 o'clock in
the afternoon.
The bride wore a white bro
cade sheath dress and a crys
tal blue and pearl necklace.
Mrs. William C. Bryant, of
Grants Pass, a sister-in-law,
was her attendant.
The bride attended Med
ford High school and was for
merly employed by the Blue
Chip Stamp company, Comp
ton, Calif. The bridegroom at
tended schools in Elgin, Ore.
and is now a specialist fourth
class with the Army. He is to
be stationed in Mannheim,
Germany, until August, when
he expects to be returned to
the United States. The bride
will reside at 4950 South Pa
cific highway, Grants Pass.
