The governor agreed with
a member of his advisory
committee, Dr. Wesley
Nicholson, that the commit
tee's recommendations failed
to. analyze fully the medical
needs of elderly people in the
state.
Just a Start
"We are fooling our way
along, Hatfield said, "until
we can develop data. No doubt
this is just a start - a nucleus
that will develop into a more
comprehensive program."
In the meantime, Hatfield
said he felt it was essential
to have a program ready for
action by the 1961 legislature

he said, "the need is much
greater than what the docu
ment says."

the official U.S. man-in-space
program under the National
Aeronautics and Space admin
