Car Found-State police re ported this morning that a car reported stolen in Grants Pass Sunday evening was found along the Applegate river about four miles south of McKee bridge yesterday, It had been pushed over a 150-foot embankment, police said. In Cuitody - A 15-year-old boy was taken into protective custody by Medford police Monday and charged with the theft of some beer from the Schmidt Distributing com pany, 1213 Court St., Dec. 2. He was the fourth youth to be arrested in connection with the theft. Telephoto) Milk Regulations Talked at Meet Salem-Because most state violations of the 21 standards regulations have been "very general," it is "difficult to draw the line as to what is acceptable in milk products," said Ken Carl, assistant chief of the division of foods and dairies, weights and measures at the ninth annual milk sani tarians short course held Dec. 1 in the State Department of Agriculture. "Labeling food products be comes more difficult all the time," said Carl who spoke on the "fluid milk standard of identity and labeling." John F. Ken nedy today held a slim 113, 928 margin over Vice Presi dent Richard M. Nixon. The three states with com plete but still unofficial counts were Illinois, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The unofficial tabulation by United Press International was: Kennedy 34,223,937 (49.72 per cent). Nixon 34,110,009 (49.58 per cent). Others 499,844 (0.73 per cent). Total - 68,833,790. Kennedy has 50.084 per cent of the two-party vote for President and Nixon had 49.916 per cent-a difference of 0.168 per cent. That was the narrowest percentage mar gin in history.
