Gold Hill Health unit will met at the home of Mrs. Mel vin Burnett, Upper 'River road Tuesday, December 13, at 1 p.m. A gilt exchange and party will follow the business ession. On Wednesday afternoon, December 14 Mrs. Earl Moore will , be hostess for a one o'clock dessert luncheon and business meeting of the Wom an's society of Gold Hill Com munity Methodist church. This group will not have a gift exchange. Amethyst Rebekah Friend ship club will meet at the home of Mrs. Clyde Kell, Wednesday, December 14, at 8 p.m. There will be a gift exchange. The meeting was jet ahead due to conflicting engagements on the regular date, December 19. i On Friday afternoon, De cember 18, Mrs. William Fields will be hostess for a meeting and party of the Gold Hill Garden club. Gifts will be exchanged. " Past Noble Grands club of Amethyst Rebekah lodge will meet Tuesday, December zu, at 8 p.m. at the home of Mrs, William Ferguson. The club' regular meeting date conflicts with the Hanby Elementary school's Christmas program f hnrsrtav. December 22, at 930 D.m. - The Gold Hill Community Mnthndist church choir will go caroling Wednesday eve nine. December 21. After wards the group will be en tertained at a party at the home of Mrs. Earl Moore. Amethyst Rebekah lodge will meet Wednesday, Decem ber 21, at 8 p.m. at the IOOF hall on Fourth ave. This group is assisting the Odd Fel lows lodge with plans for the annual community children's Christmas program and party slated for Friday, December 23, at 8 p.m. at the Odd Fel lows hall. Bridge Fans Plan Party Susannah Guild . Elects Officers; Program Given Susannah Wesley unit of the Weslcyan Service Guild, First Methodist church, elect ed Mrs. Oliver P. Taylor pres ident at the last meeting. Elected to serve with Mrs. Taylor were Mrs. John Glenn, vice president; and Mrs. Har old Slranff, secretary of pro motion. Treasurer is Mrs. James Sanford, and secretary, Mrs. Richard Slratlon. Following the Christmas buffet dinner, the unit re ceived into membership four women, Miss Donna Dale, Miss Mary Evans, Mrs. Lynda Weinhold and Mrs. Bob Bills. Presiding over this service was Mrs. Charles Adamson Oregon conference secretary of the guilds. Special "Christmas socks1 were pinned on a small fir tree during the evening, the money from which will go toward paying off the debt on the Beulah Faber - Louise Bunch Memorial chapel of the Methodist home in Salem. This chapel has been a project of the Oregon guilds in honor of two women who were ac tive in this work during their lives. ' Mrs. Adamson . presented the evening's program, dis playing a "Portfolio of Carols by Contemporary Artists". As she presented each picture, a brief description of the artist and the setting for the paint ing was given, following which a verse was sung of the carol being described. The next meeting of the unit will be January 12 in the home of Mrs. Strang. Dinner Meeting Held by Group Order of Amaranth Past Matrons and Patrons club of aouthern Oregon and north ern California held the De cember meeting Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs, Frank Little. Cohosts were Mrs. Lit tle, who is Junior past matron, Mr. Little, Stanley Jones, jun ior past patron, and Mrs. Jones. A potluck dinner pre ceded the meeting. Chief Past Patron Fred Pur- din conducted t h business ession. 4 Women's Corps Elects Officers Central Point Election of officers for 1961 was held at the November meeting of The Women's Relief corps at the home of Mrs. O. T. Wilson. The new president is Mrs Bessie Henderson; senior vice- president, Mrs. Lester Biehn Junior vice - president, M r s. Emma Pence; treasurer, Mrs. Albert llcrmason; chaplain Mrs. John Novak; conductor. Mrs. John Foster; guard, Mrs. Phillip Griggs. Other officers Will be appointed. Following luncheon at noon. report was heard on a visit to the men's Hobby Shop at the Veterans Administration, domiciliary, White City. The unit will hold a Christ mas party at the home of Mrs. Elizabeth Faber, Central Point. This week's calender is fill ed with Christmas parties, and one of the largest of these will be that of Medford Duplicate Bridge club. It is set for Tues day, December 13, at Girls Community club, with dinner to be served at 6 p.m. Each member is asked to take a 50-cent gift for the Christmas tree. Tournamcn play for master points will close the program. The club reports that the largest attendance of the season was marked up for last week's meeting Tuesday night. Play was in two sec tions, and for master points. Section A, north-south win ners, were B. L. Sanderson and Jack Barr, first, 154 points; Mrs. Dolph Phipps and Mrs. Marrs Gibbons, second, l46'4; the Berg Martens, third, 125: Mrs. Fred Reh- ling and Mrs. S. L. Miller, fourth, 119. Thursday Club To Hold Party Phoenix - The annual Christmas party of Phoenix Thursday club will be held at 8 p.m. December 15 at the home of Mrs. Gordon Germer, 4585 South Pacific highway. Mrs. A. H. McKintosh, Mrs W. Haggard and Mrs. J. A Wilson will be co-hostesses. A gift exchange will be feature of the evening and women not having "hooodoos' are reminded to bring gifts for the exchange also.
