Wilson School By Cathy Pool and Bill Hedbrj The Wilson school library shelved some new books Nov. 28. Some of the books aro "Change for a Penny," "The Baldheaded Mountain," "Ex--pedition, " "Shag," and others. The students have almost checked out all the new books. ' Bill Atwood, student body president, moved to Eureka, Calif., Wilson school is sorry . to see him go as he was a good student. Tne Wilson school basket ball team got under way with practice starting Nov. 14. Rus-. sell Carr, the coach, Is teach ing the boys the fundamentals of basketball. Our first game is with Roosevelt school Jan. 12. Students of the fifth and . sixth grades will have a sci ence fai r sometime In the . spring. Trophies will be given for the projects that win prizes during the fair. Wilson school Jias five men responsible for getting the students to school and home. These men are Mr. Merriman, Mr. Shama, Mr. Mundlin Mr. Richards, and Mr. War riner. The annual Open House was held Thursday, Nov. 9. There was a half hour address by Dr. Leonard Mayfield in "Ed ucatlonal Objectivess for this School Year." From 8 until 8:45 the children's work was inspected by the parents.
