Egg Nog Party Fits Any Occasion The Egg Nog Party-steeped In tradition and flavored with hospitality - fits into any oc casion during the holidays . . . from open house for al ages to a reception for a Christmas wedding. Or if you prefer, fold into the egg nog mixture some softly - whipped egg whites. This will make the egg nog fluffier and help it go farther. Mistletoe Hailed As Eternal Life Symbol for Years Mistletoe, which can stran gle a tree and kill it, has been hailed as a symbol of eternal life since ancient times. This inconsistency is easy to understand though . . . for in the dark, barren, cold days of winter, mistletoe, alone with evergreens, is generally the only greenery to be seen. The custom of kissing under the mistletoe dates back cen turies, too. . In the rites of the Druids, mistletoe was ' broken into small pieces and given to the people to hang over the en trance to their dwellings. Among the early Scandinavi ans this sentiment toward mistletoe was widespread. Also ' in many countries from time to time, mistletoe has been used as a medicine ... to "cure" almost any-things. Few people in the modern world really consider mistle toe a symbol of eternity or anything else . . but it is fun to have it hanging In your home at Christmas, and pretty as well.
