Crawford "Cut and Dried" Theme Of Central Point Show "Cut and Dried" will be the theme of the third annual fall show to be staged by the Cen tral Point Garden club No vember 16 and 17- in the Courthouse auditorium. Hours of the show will be from 2 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday the 16th, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday. Everyone is invited to par ticipate in this non-competitive show which will include divisions of arrangements for fall, Thanksgiving and Christ mas. Other divisions will be for winter corsages, home made Christmas tree orna ments, swags or wreaths and pictures or plaques. All entries1 2641. in these divisions are to be made from naturally dried treated or artificial materials; no green materials will be permitted. A new feature this year will be the Christmas Tree Lane where a person may enter small decorated Christmas trees made of any medium net, tin can, fresh evergreen, teasel, or others. Entries in this feature are to be dis played on the exhibitor's own card table. Any further information on this show may be secured by calling Mrs. Ivan Skyrman, chairman at NOrmandy 4- Wedding Of Interest In Valley A wedding of interest to valley residents was held Oc tober 28 at Rockwood Church of God, Portland, when Miss Patricia Joyce Timmons, Day ton, Ore., became the bride of James D. Crawford, son of Mrs. J. H. Crawford, 631 Ber rydale avenue, Medford. The bride's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Howard Timmons, Dayton. Yellow and bronze chrysan themums decorated the church for the ceremony. The bride, given in mar riage by her parents, wore a white silk frock styled with empire waistline, short sleeves, scoop neckline and flared skirt. Her elbow length veil was held by a crown of pearhzed orange blossoms and she carried a bouquet of chrysanthemums. Miss Carolee Weiss, Port land, attended the bride. How ard Henderson, Walport, serv ed as best man. Howard J. Timmons Jr. and Craig Timmons, brothers of the bride, lighted the candles and seated the guests. Larry Burleson was also an usher. The bridegroom is a gradu ate of Crater High school and both of the couple are gradu ates of Linfield college, Mc- Minnville. The bride is a teacher at the Parkrose Junior High school, Portland, and the bridegroom is an accountant in Portland where the newly- weds are making their home, , Nard Jones Book To Be Reviewed "The Great Command" by Nard Jones has been chosen for review by Mrs. M. The dinner will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the Mark Antony hotel, and the speaker will be John Crutcher. Mr. Crutcher spent the sum mer of 1957 touring the Soviet union, the summer of 1958 in Yugoslavia, and has just re turned from a third trip through the satellite countries. During his journeys the Amer ican asked questions of all who would listen and answer, and it is believed what he learned may give American listeners an insight to the working of the aVerage Rus sian mind. Four men were named to the board of directors of the Reobligation Meeting Set At Gold Hill The Pythian Sisters will hold their roll call and re obligation meeting at 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 15, at the Talisman temple. There will be a report of the nominat ing committee. Refreshment committee will be Mrs. Iola Russell, chairman, and Mrs Alice Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Gene Morris are making their home at 501 Oak street following their wedding November 5 at First Methodist church. The bride is the former Catherine L. Purple and white chrysanthemums decorated the chapel for the ceremony and Mrs. Leslie Boardman played the organ wedding music. The bride given in marriage by Wynn Milani, her brother, wore a pink lace frock with pink crown and veil. She car ried a bouquet of white roses. Mrs. Gary Rupert attended the bride. She wore a blue velveteen princess style frock, Her flowers were pink carna tions. David Morris served as best man for his brother. Sealing the guests were Mr. Rupert and Philip Cross. Following the ceremony reception was held at the church. Mrs. Charles Dallas, Grants Pass, cut and served the cake and Miss Monica Sotty poured the punch. Jana Ray Morris, sister of the bridegroom, lighted the candles. The bride changed to a pink wool suit with white and tan accessories for a supper held later that evening at Kim's restaurant. It was attended by 20 close relatives and friends of the couple. . The bride is a graduate of Crater High school and was discount clerk and secretary for the First National Bank of Oregon, Medford branch. Mr. Morris attended Medford High school and is employed by Fir Ply corporation. Crown Prince Wedding To Be Shown Colored pictures of the wedding of the Crown Prince of Japan will be shown Mon day, November 14, at 1 p.m. in the Senior Activity Center, 601 East Jackson street, to the Arm Chair Travel group by Mrs. Charles Kyer. The pictures were taken by the Kycrs while Mr. Kyer, chief warrant officer in the United States Army, was sta tioned in Japan before arriv ing in the Rogue valley on his retirement. Mrs. Kyer is executive sec retary of the Tuberculosis and Health association. She became interested in the ac tivities at the Center while spending several mornings there during the last two weeks with the Communnity Service group from the Fifty Plus club who were helping her with the Christmas Seal campaign by stuffing en velopes. The Center committee an nounced that the Red Cross Motor Corps takes members to the Wood-carving class on Wednesdays who have been unable to attend due to lack of transportation. This class has now added clay sculpture to the woodcarving. Both are taught by Glenn Van Wicklc during the same class on Wednesday from 1 to 3 p.m. Gifts of some special woods for carving were received from Lesly Dike, 728 West Jackson street, for the use of the class. The Oil Painting and Wood- carving classes plan to hold an exhibit of their recent work during December. Jvln. Bert Orr Enlortaini Club Yrcka-Mrs. Bert Orr, 411 Fourth street, was hostess!
