COLEMAN Hornbrook-Graveside serv ices were held here Saturday, Oct. 22, for John T. Coleman, 77, who died Oct. 4 in Salem, Ore. Cremation followed fu neral rites held in Salem shortly after death. Mr. Coleman was born Nov. 7, 1882, in Uvalde coun ty, Texas, and had lived in the Hilts-Hornbrook area since 1888 when his parents home- steaded a ranch near Hilt. In later years, he lived In Med ford, and had lived in Salem for the past five years. Mr. Coleman was a farmer, and also worked for a time for the Fruit Growers Supply company at Hilts. Survivors include two brothers, Orson Coleman, Hornbrook, and P. E. (Pink) Coleman, Santa Ana, Calif.; four listers, Mrs. Birdie Jones and Mrs. Ellen Gilmore, both Dunsmuir, Calif., Mrs. Harriet Finley, Medford, and Mrs. Frances Leland, San Fran Cisco; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for ' Edna Esther Alexander, -71, of 4833 Hope dr., Central Point, who died Wednesday, will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Pil grim's Holiness church, Cen tral; Point. The Rev. Clarence Jackson will officiate. Inter ment will be in Siskiyou Me morial park. : Mrs. Alexander, the daugh ter of the , late Olive and James Heaton, was born in Phillips county, Kansas, June 4, 1889. Oh June 7, 1911, in Phillips county Kansas, she was married to R. H.. Alexan der, who preceded her in death Dec. 21, 1959. She had been a member of the Nazarene church for many years. She had been a resident of the valley for the past 4.V4 years and upon moving to Central Point . she and her husband became active mem' bers of the Pilgrim's Holiness church there. Survivors include Robert Alexander, Quincy, Wash., David Alexander, Nyssa, Ore.; five daughters, Mrs. Earl Hur ley, Roseburg; Mrs. Herman Dietrich, Chelan, Wash.; Mrs. Dale Gilliam, Elko, Nev.; Mrs. Robert Felty, Homedale. Ida., and Mrs. Sam McMillen, On tario, Ore., two sisters, Mrs. Ellen Gale and Mrs. Emma Brown, Pueblo, Colo; 26 grandchildren; one great granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be R. V. Keys. Walter Ross, Ralph Har ger, Kenneth Harger, Clifford Travis, and Tom Harger. Handicapped Swim Class Scheduled A class for instructing phy sically handicapped to swim will start Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Medford YMCA swim ming pool. The classes will continue for five weeks. Mrs. Lanell Wilkes is di rector of the program, and in structors will be David Cur- son, physical director at the YMCA, and Mrs. Marion Ernst.
