We try to make things

brings some oi her home

I do all her weeding.
As for spoiling the chil

Too much hovering around
married ehiidren may be due
to two unfortunate attitudes:
either a belief that the young
people can't possibly hsndis
their owa household, or an.
iaertia that prevents the older
people from seeking out new
iateresis, new friends, new
diversions when the days of
fuil-thne parentiag are past.
As for Lilian and Sod, onee
the pressure ef sueh intcr.sa

Pearson Protests
Masonic Letter
Portland - State Sen. Wal
ter J. Pearson, a Mason and
Shriner, strongiy protested
today an anti-Kennedy letter
mailed to members of the
Scottish Rite Masonic Lodge
In Oregon by Leslie M. Scots,
a high officisi of the fraternal
organization.
The letter by Scott, a Re
publican former state treas
urer, urges Mason? not to vote
for Kennedy because he Is a
Catholic.
f am shacked and very dis
gruntled that the Masonic Or
der would allow such a letter
to be sent sat along with the
infisfflunatory literature
which accompanied it." Pear
son wrote to E, G. Wendiing,
secretary o( the Scottish Rite
Temple in Portland. ;
The;Masonic Order may
not agree with the Catholic
church with regard to xhs
form of religion, but certain
ly Catholics are Christian peo
ple and not : entitled to any
such political blast by a narrow-minded
Republican like
Leslie Scott.
"J am sure the big majority
of the Masonic Order will
agree with me," Pearson add
