'a teaspoon ground ginger Vi cup butter 'a cup sugar Vi cup dark molasses 1 egg, well beaten to prepare: 15 min. (allow time for chilling dough) 2 cupi tlfted flour Vi teaspoon baking soda Vi teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1. Sift the first five ingredients together; set aside. 2. Cream butter until softened. Add sugar gradually, creaming until fluffy after each addition. Gradually blend in molasses. Add egg in thirds, beating well after each addition. 3. - Blending well after each addition, add the dry ingredi ents in fourths to creamed mixture. Chill dough thoroughly. 4. Form chilled dough into balls, using about 2 teaspoons of dough for each. Roll in sugar to coat and transfer to greased cookie sheets. 5. Bake at 350F about 10 min. Remove to cooling racks.
