DEFENSIVE LEADER-A1 Funslon, above. 178-pound senior,
Is defensive captain and signal-giver for the Medford High
sciiool lootball aggregation. He's made 37 tackles this fall,
tops for the Black Tornado, playing middle guard and line
backer. A fullback for offense before this year, Funston was
converted to a guard. But, he was briefly in the backfield
last Friday when his defensive platoon took over on offense
against Klamath Falls. Tonight Funston sees service against
the Reno Huskies on the Medford field.
