Davenport owns the Daven port Appliance shop, Medford. The Davenports were part of the largest commercial air lift in history. Gibson took 5,000 dealers and distributors to Hawaii as awards for Gib son product sales. Highlights of their trip were Hawaiian Luau and a trip around the Island. On the list from Medford High school are William H. Clinkbeard, Matthew G. Rode, and James Roger Spoerl. The placement tests are giv en during New Student Week to help faculty advisers and students know for which level class the individual student is best prepared. Top scorers on the algebra and trigonometry advanced placement tests will, if they choose, be exempt from either one or two terms of freshman mathematics and will be assigned to advanced courses. Names of the high scorers on the mathematics and Eng lish placement tests are re leased by OSC each year to emphasize the Importance of the two subjects.
