Charles R. Damon. 313 Ma ple st., Medford, is being treated for serious head in juries, and Don Calvin Im hausen, route 4, box 398C, Medford, suffered a broken pelvis and leg, hospital at tendants said. The one-car accident oc curred opposite the Rainbow' End boat landing, state police said. The car traveled 118 feet on the shoulder of the highway, broke off a tele phone pole, hit a rock bank driveway and went back onto the highway. Now I am 22 and am about to have mv third child. I realize what a darn fool I've been. My parents wanted me to go to college or at least work a couple o yours before getting married, but I wouldn't listen. Now I feel there is nothing ahead for me but babies and housework. My husband has no sym nathy or understanding of how hard things are for a woman. He never takes me out and begrudges every bit of help he gives me. I m fed upl Bernard S.-My wife has a washer, a freezer and a lot of other appliances women didn't have a generalion ago. Yet they managed to raise families without complaining so much. I do take Belle out occa sionally, . only we have to spend so much for the baby sitter that we have to cut down on the money we spend on the excursion. Belle likes to do things up in style, and we just can't afford that. Inci dentally, we do have two TV sets for home entertainment and that's something our par ents never had. We made a mistake by mar rying so young, but must we cry about it the rest of our lives? The Council! There are many good reasons why teen agers shouldn't marry, and parents and all others con cerned and experienced adults are ready to point out the pit falls. This does not mean, how ever, that It is impossible for teen-agers to make a success of their marriages. Unfortunately, many of these teen-age marriages are made because the boys and girls are lcss-ralher than more -emotionally mature than they should be. The marry ing teen-agers tend to be rebel lious against parental au thority, want freedom without responsibility, arc filled with illusions about married life. They do not want to do the one thing they must do to make a success of marriage-learn discipline and un- I selfishness. oo with a thundering sermon be and a women's editor. Bach article A young woman like Belle is more concerned about be moaning her fate and taking it out on herself, her children and her husband than making something good of her marri age. As an excuse for a fail ure to deal properly with her marital responsibilities she presents the fact that she was married too young. From giv ing way to her illusions she has progressed to giving in to her disillusion. The fact is that there are good aspects to almost all situations if we choose to look for them. Young parents have physical stamina and emotional flexibility. They can grow up with their chil dren and will be free of the heaviest responsibilities of parenthood at an earlier age. We Ihlnk, therefore, that Bernard is on the right track when he points out that sitting down to cry about the mistake of marrying too young is only to pile error upon error. Belle should recognize that although her lot Is by no means easy, Bernard must shoulder an enormous respon sibility as well. A young man who has kept his family sup plied with all the necessities and some of the luxuries of the day deserves some of the compensations of married life -first of all a tender and hap py wife who enjoys her life with him and lets him know it. The bottle missed him, he said, and broke on the ground just behind him. Police traced the car, from a description given by the man, to a 19-year-old youth. The boy ad mitted that he was driving the car at the time the bottle was thrown. He denied throw ing the bottle himself, how ever, and said that one of the persons with him did. According to police reports, the boy said, "he was very sorry and he wouldn't do any more of that sort of thing." wo cnarges were filed.
