Word from the Raider en campment has a realignment in the Rogue Raiders' back field in one back spot and pos sibly the quarterback posi tion. Coach Al Akins is not giv ing out any of the details for another day or two so that he can try out the combina tions he is experimenting with in an effort to strength en the offense. Maw Formation? "We may even come up with a new offensive forma tion," hinted Akins as he searched for a way to get his ball club in the winning col umn. "One of the reasons we ere not revealing our plans is that we must get used to them ourselves," Akins contlnsed, "and we must get into top shape for the opening of the Oregon Collegiate conference season the following week end when Portland State college comes to town." MAC Won't Delay Sale Of Stadium Portland -(UPD- The Multno mah Athletic club plans to sell its plant, including Mult nomah Stadium, as soon as it can find a buyer. That's what Harold M. Phil lips, president of the club, said Wednesday in reply to a request by Mayor Terry Schrunk that the club defer any action on sale of the prop erty for another two years. . Phillips said the door would be left open for talks with city officials on any interest Portland still might have in buying the property. MAC last July offered to sell out to the city for $3.5 million. . Phillips said MAC might lose as much as a quarter mil lion dollars in taxes if it de ferred action on sale of the property for two years. He said the club has accumulated more than one million dollars toward a building fund which is exempt from federal taxes, provided it is used in con struction within three years of its collection. Schrunk said he was "a bit shocked" at the MAC for sig nifying its intention to dis pose of the property without a "proper waiting period" for adequate study, planning and appraisal by the city. . While there they met with other members of the board from Gold Beach and Myrtle Creek. Game Man Warns of Hooligans Portland- (UPD -Stats Game Director Phil Schneider today! warned deer hunters to be on the lookout for what he term ed "woods hooligans" who have already caused consld erable damage to hunting areas. He said damage was caused In the Baker and Pendleton area by hunters who shot in suiators from high tension1 lines, putting the lines out of service.
