Radio Removed - A transis tor radio in a leather case valued-at $80 was taken from a car recently, according to reports to police by Helen E. Abbott, Central Point. Disturbance - William Paul Hirschy, 36 South Columbus ave., told city ponce today that dogs and cats were caus ing a disturbance near his residence. Police are investigating. Grass Fire The Central Point RFural fire district was called Thursday at 5:12 p.m., to extinguish a grass fire burn ing on Avenue G in the White City area. Obituaries HARRY SLAVIN Private funeral services for Harry Slavin, 84, who died in a nursing home in Jackson ville Wednesday evening, will be held at the Perl Funeral home Saturday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. George R. V. Bolster, St. Mark's Episcopal church, officiating. Private cremation services will be at the Siskiyou Crematorium. Mr. Slavin was Dom Oct. 27, 1875, in Dublin, Ireland. There are no known survivors. EUGENE DICKERSON Eugene Dickerson, 49, of 273 Mace rd., died yesterday in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at the Hillcrest Memorial Chapel, on the North Phoenix rd., Mon day at 2:30 p.m., with Conger Morris, funeral directors,- in charge of arrangements. Minor damage was re ported and Kessler was cited for failure to yield the right of way. - Car Fire A car owned by Gary Geiger, 228 North Ivy st., reportedly caught fire Thursday at 8:63 p.m., when sparkes from the emergency brake, which had been left on while the car was operating, ignited some grease. Firemen were called but said the fire was out by the time they ar rived. Plan Reception - The Rev. and Mrs. Floyd Pollock and family will be honored at a reception to be given in the social hall of Eagle Point Community church following the evening service Sunday, Aug. 21. The Pollocks will leave soon for Minnesota where the minister will work at an Indian mission. For the first time in the theater's history, house counts broke above the 1,000 mark for seven consecu tive nights. From Aug. 10 through 16, nightly totals ranged from alow of 1,027 to a high if 1,215. The eigh'h night, Aug. 17, missed the' thousand mark by 61, check ing in at 939. With, a box office tally of 1,293 for the Thursday, Aug. 18 performance of "The Tam ing of the Shew," the Festival established a new all-time high for single-performance attendance at the Elizabethan theater. The previous record of 1,245 was set at a Saturday night staging of "The Mer chant of Venice" on Aug. 23, 1958.
