THUHSDAY, AUGUST 18, I960 Area Students Accepted for OTI Fourteen students from Medford ' and vicinity, three from Ashland and 9 from the Grants Pass area have been accepted for enrollment at Oregon Technical Institute, Next year will be the first year for the institute to oper ate within the state system of higher education. - Freshman orientation actlv ities will begin Sept. 21 and dormitories will be opened for occupancy Tuesday, Sept. 20 Approved for enrollment from this area are Donald T. MEDFORD, ORE. i-"j"v'r -wr ESS E571 PHH Drive Chairman Thanks Residents Thanks to the residents of Medford for support of the re cent City of Hope drive was expressed today by Mrs. Jessie Sitton, local chairman, and pa tients at the free, non-sectarian medical center. The drive, which ended in July, enables the center "to continue its work in free pa tient care, research and medi cal education," she said. "This is because the good people in t h o u s ands of communities throughout our nation" sup ported the drive, according to the chairman. The people of this commu nity can be proud of the part they have played in making possible work concerning can cer, leukemia, heart, blood, chest and hereditary maladies, Mrs. Sitton said.
