Each article Is a summary of an actual igo history. The Council reports on proniems u nave oeen aaais counselors. Marian R. - Henry makes a fool of himself over young girls. Henry R. - She has nothing to be jealous about. Marian R. - My husband and I have been married for 30 years and have three mar ried children and an 18-year-old single daughter. Now that we are grandpar ents and well on in middle age, I think it is time for my husband to stop making an old fool of himself over young girls. He has always been a sucker for a pretty face. A young girl can twist him around her little finger. I don't accuse him of unfaith fulness. I believe he has been loyal in the strict sense of the word, but he has always had a roving eye. I feel that Henry annoys the young girls who visit our daughter. He takes over the conversation and makes re marks on how they look. It annoys me to death. Henry R.-As Marian points out, 1 have never given her any reason to doubt my loy alty. I love my wife and wouldn't want to be Involved with another woman. But I also love youth and beauty, and it gives me a lot of pleasure to look at and talk to a nice, attractive girl. My daughter's friends don't seem to mind my company and they like a compliment or two, I can say the same thing to Marian that she says to me. She makes a fool of herself by being jealous of nothing at all. It isn't becoming, for a wo man of her age to be jealous of a teen-ager. Once when I put my arm around a girl's waist, Marian came along and pulled it away. How does that look to others? The Council: We'll agree with both Marian and Henry. Neither of them looks par ticularly good in this situa tion. We see nothing wrong with Henry's enjoyment of youth and beauty, but we wonder whether he finds it necessary to put his arms around a girl's waist to enjoy both. Marian behaved a bit crudely when she pulled his arm away, but we must admit there is noth' Ing like direct action for get PAUL LEA RAMBLER WILL DELIVER A NEW RAMBLER AMERICAN FOR $1 No Money Down ON APPROVED CREDIT PAYMENTS AS LOW AS $J32 SEE PAUL LEA AND SAVE Bartleff al 5th SP 2-6 1 85 Payments Are Based On Normal Down Payment Time wi a oy responsiDle aiencies and ting things done. On the whole, however, we think Marian ought to be a little more tolerant of her husband. She should feci flat tered that a man with a keen appreciation of feminine beau ty has chosen her above all women as his lifelong com panion. His mild flirtation in dicates a still youthful spirit where the opposite sex is con cerned, and since there is no serious question of his loyalty involved, there is every reason for Marian to be pleased about her husband's buoyancy. Those with considerable professional expert ence in marital counseling believe that the most important factor in successful marriage is com plete acceptance of the oppo site partner just as he or she is. Nearly all of us have some rather serious flaws or weak nesses and these can't be changed unless there is a strong desire for change with in the individual, Many wives and husbands must live with partners who have more serious flaws than Henry's. If they insist upon attempting to change their spouses, they only create much unhappincss for them selves. (Copyright 1960, General Features Corp.) Navy Needs Men With Prior Service Chief Murray J.
