Farm Woodlands Income Listed Salem - IUPU - Incomo to the farmers of the state from their woodlands as a result of cooperative efforts of the farm forester attached to the office of the state forester amounted to $823,793 for the fiscal year ending last June 30. Chief Farm Forester Charles H. Ladd said the greater part of the income was from the sale of 20.3 million board feet of timber which brought $708,110. Ho said an all time high of $100,209 was received from the sale of Christmas trees and floral products. Tills was $70,000 above that of the previous year. 4-H NEWS W.itild. PATTON Funeral services for Samu el F. Patton, 64, of 3653 South Pacific highway, who died Thursday, will be held at Hill crest Mortuary Chapel, on North Phoenix rd., Monday at 3 p.m. Elder James W. David son, of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Lat ter Day Saints, will officiate. Committal will be In Hill crest Memorial park, with Conger-Morris, Funeral Direc tors, in charge of arrange ments. Mr. Patton was born March 29, 1896, in Barton, Ohio, and had lived in southern Ore gon for the past couple of years. He was married Nov. 12, 1954, in Kcno, JNev., 10 Dora May McDonald, who survives. He was a veteran of World War I, having served as a sergeant in Company K, 15th Infantry. He was in France at the close of the war, serving there from Oct. 28, 1918, to Aug. 3, 1919. Survivors besides his wife Include two sisters, Mrs. Leo O'Driscoll. and Mrs. Scrclda Hile, both ol Youngstown, Ohio. MRS. LENA BELLOWS Mrs. Lena L. Bellows, 75, of 101 Arnold lane, Medford, died Friday after apparently suffering a heart attack while walking home from a nearoy market. Mrs. Bellows was born April 2, 1885, in Ashland, and had been a resident of this area for 16 years. She is survived by her hus band, Carlton E. Bellows, Medford; one daughter, Mrs. Mildred E. Lucas, Vale, Ore.; four sons, Edward Bellows, Blue River, Ore.; Benjamin Bellows, Vale, Ore.; Doris Bel lows, Kingston, N.Y.; Eugene Bellows, Page, Ariz.; three sisters, Mrs. Amy Johnson, Mrs. Nettie Wooley, Eugene, Ore., Mrs. Christina Munston, Oakland, Calif.; 14 grandchil dren and 7 greatgrandchil dren. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Perl Funeral home. The Rev. I D. E. Millard will officiate. Interment will be in Central Point cemetery. AXEL WILLIAM HALL Ashland-Axel William Hall, 78, of 247 Laurel St., Ashland, died Thursday at the Ashland hospital. He was born Feb. 26, 1882, at Apzidberr, Swe den. Mr. Hall was a resident in Ashland since 1917 where he founded the Eagle Iron Works. He was a member of the Ea gles lodge for more than 50 years. Survivors include his wife, Alma; four daughters, Mrs. Wilma Foster and Mrs. Agnes King, both Ashland; Mrs. Mar- jorie Nelson, Salem; and Mrs. Ruth Armstrong, L o m p o c, Calif., 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and two brothers, Carl Hall, Minneap olis, Minn, and Herman Hall, Sweden. Funeral services will be held Monday, Aug. 1, at 10 j a.m. at Litwiller's Mountain 1 View chapel. The Rev. Duane Alvord of Trinity Episcopal church will officiate.
