"There's nothing so unpleas ant or unhealthy as a drip ping wet swim suit, said Eric Aggernas, vice chairman of the Danish naturist move ment. Aggernas and several hun dred of his friends took iff their clothes Sunday and launched a world-wide con vention of nudists. The Danish Naturist Move ment has thrown o p en the gates of its five-acre estate at Solbakken (Sunny Hill) to an estimated 700 sun worship pers who gathered for the six day meeting which will in clude the first "naturist Olym pic games" fine the ancient Greekt. Olympic Traditions ; . "We are proud to be the first to revive the genuine Olympic traditions by com peting in events in the nude like the noble Greeks," said Aggernas. Nudists from Canada, France, Spain, Greece, Swe den, the United States and several other countries in cluding some Germans who came by kayak-are participat ing in the convention. Tree Btachtt' His organization hopes to establish "free beaches" where nudists can frolic without any qualms. The long-range pur pose of the nudist organiza tion is to make itself unneces sary. "When people realize cloth es are no longer necessary, then our organization will be unnecessary," Aggernas said. "Establishment of free beach es everywhere is the first step toward our goal." The n u d l s t official said guests would be welcome at the convention - except un married males. "But we don't intend to shun publicity," he said. After all, we have nothing to hide." . Guifar Reported Taken From Man State police today are in vestigating charges that a Camp White domiciliary member was taken out to the Griffin creek area and robbed of his guitar Sunday. The man, Troy Augustus Baker, 50, told police that he was standing in front of a tavern at Front and Main sts. about 10 p.m. when two men asked him if he could play the guitar he was carrying. They offered to buy him liquor if he would play for them, Baker said. After driving around for awhile drinking, playing and singing Baker realized he was out in the country. He asked to be let out of the car. When he got out one of the men struck him on the chin knock ing him down, he told police. When he regained conscious ness he called the state police from the Paul Dalton farm house on Poorman's creek, officers said. The incident oc curred on the west fork of Griffin Creek rd., the state police estimated. Festival Players On Daily Broadcast Ashland Personal inter view with company members of the Oregon Shakespearean Festival has been scheduled for broadcast beginning today at 6 o'clock over Ashland ra dio station KWIN. The series of 24 fifteen min ute programs are presented as a public service to Festival patrons in the Rogue valley, offering them an opportunity to get acquainted with the 45 members of the 1960 group. The broadcasts have been tilled, as in past years, "Per sonal Profiles 'of the Oregon Shakespearean Festival," and are recorded backstage in an Informal manner by Carl Ritchie, Festival public rela tions director. The series will be heard Monday through Friday at 6 p.m. Following their airing here, many of the programs will be sent to the home towns of the various people involved, where they will be rebroad- cast. He said a tentative legisla tive timetable calls for early consideration of a minimum wage bill sponsored by Demo cratic presidential nominee Sen. John F. Kennedy when the Senate reconvenes Aug. 8. The House returns to work a week later, on Aug. 15. The compressed post-conventions session faces a "come early and stay late" work schedule, Mansfield told Unit ed Press International, with possible night sessions and some Saturday meetings. Mansfield forecast that Con gress will stay until Labor Day, Sept 5, despite hopes voiced by candidate Kennedy for a session ending by Sept. 1. About 45 persons had attend ed the services, but all but about 12 had left when the collapse occurred. None of the 12 was injured.
