the OES and Masonic lodges

ford Junior Women's club
was held at TouVolle State
park Wednesday, July 20.
Members were hostesses to
their children. Chairman for
the event was Mrs. Wayne M.
Allen, She was assisted by
Mrs. Robert C. Vincent and
Mrs. William K. Jensen.

Patsy Charley, Ellen Ward
and Marcia Miller performed
baton twirling numbers. Mrs.
Claude Lewis sang.

Point, vice president of the
Rebekah Assembly of Oregon,
and Miss Mary Wilson, Med
ford, second herald of the
Theta Rho Assembly of Ore

For Herb Society
Mrs. Verne Shangle will
speak on "Green Medicine"
at the Tuesday, July 26, meet
ing of the Rogue Valley Herb
society at the home of Mrs.
John Holtz, 2121 East Jack
son street, Medford. The
meeting will start at 1:30 p.m.
Each member will exhibit
a cigar box herb garden. Herb
of the month is symphyrum
officinal. Mrs. Shangle will
assist Mrs. Holtz.
Old roses was the topic of
the June meeting. Many speci
mens of roses were displayed.

Lavender and pink gladioli
decorated the church for the
ceremony and lavender bows
marked the pew ends. Soloist
was Verne Esch.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a floor
length frock of eyelet embroi
dered organdy. . The fitted
bodice was accented with scal
loped embroidery and the
tiered skirt terminated in a
chapel train. Her fingertip
length veil of silk tulle was
held by a pearl headdress.
She carried a cascade bou
quet of Sterling Silver roses.
Mrs. Robert H. Tremaine,
Corvallis, sister of the bride,
was matron of honor. Brides
matrons were Mrs. Donald
Watilo and Mrs. David De
Lapp. They wore lavender
silk organza frocks over blue
and lavender floral polished
cotton dresses. The sashes
were of the floral print and
they carried cascade bouquets
of orchid ' colored glamellias.
Flower girl was little Debra
Nelson who wore a white
frock with lavender cummer
bund.
Donald J. Wiley served as
best man and seating the
guests were Billy S. Adams
and Robert H. Tremaine. Ring
bearer was Charles Klingler.
For her daughter's wedding
and reception which followed
in the fireplace room at the
church. Mrs. Crick chose a
dress of beige silk organza
and lace with beige and
brown accessories. Her cor
sage was a yellow cymbidium
orchid. Mrs. Brewster wore a
beige lace dress with pink ac-

serving the fiftieth wedding
anniversary of Mr. and Mrs.
Joseph Cook were made by
a group of officers and mem
bers of Talisman temple,
Pythian Sisters, at a meeting
held recently at the home of
Mrs. Edward Bostwick. Mrs.
Bostwick is most excellent
chief of the temple.
The reception will be held
Sunday, August 7, from 2 to
4 p.m. at the Pythian hall.
Mrs. Harry Bryant will be
general chairman of the
event, with Mrs. Walter Gro
