McCor mick, 1980 Orchard Home drive, Medford, and Charles E. McCormick, Route 2, Box 668, Central Point, announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Barbara Marie McCormick, Medford, to Rob ert Joe Martin. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Martin, 3950 Jacksonville highway, Medford. Miss McCormick will be a 1961 graduate of Medford High school. Her finance was a 1957 graduate of Medford High school and is stationed with the Navy at Lakehurst, N.J. An August 1961 wedding is planned. Annual Silver Tea Slated By Women's Association The annual silver tea spon sored by the Women's Asso ciation of the First Presby terian church of Medford will be held at the Otlo Frohn mayer home,' 1656 Spring street, Tuesday, July 26, from 2 to 4 p.m. Eight women will pour dur ing the afternoon event. Rep resenting the senior members of the church will be Miss Elizabeth Burr and Mrs. Jen nie Thompson; world service, Mrs. Triad Hattcn and Mrs. Robert Rukovina; minister's wives, Mrs. D. K. West and Mrs. Robert Bridge, and the Christian Education de- Farewell Party Honors Couple Mr. and Mrs. K. A. Hayes, who will leave Medford soon to make their home in Gresh am, Ore., were honored re cently at a farewell party, The event was a picnic given by Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Moir and Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Davis at the Moir home, 1105 Shaf fer lane. Eighteen guests attended. Mr. and Mrs. Hayes, with their children, Kevin, Karla and Kimberly, will leave for their new home about August 1. The Rev. John S. Power of ficiated at the 11 o'clock morning rites. The bride wore a floral print frock with pink and white accessories. They returned to the valley Friday following a wedding trip to Seattle, Wash., and Vancouver, B.C. and are at home on Military road. The bride was employed as secretary of the Eagle Point school district. Mr. DeMoss Is employed by Timber Products company. Burel son gave a party July 21 which honored their daugh ter, Sherri, on her first 'teen birthday. The event was a luau for 16 friends and rela tives at the Burelson home, 2201 Skyview drive, In the evening. Miss Burelson made and presented a lei to each guest.
