The resolution was adopted
at the group's 73rd annual
summer convention being held
In Seaside.
The Dalles was selected as
the site for the 1001 summer
convention.

Abductor Found
Sumner, Wash. -(IIPD- A car
fitting the description of one
driven by the abductor of
Candace Diane Compton, 12,
was found deserted in a moun
tainous area 15 miles south-
cast of here Saturday after
noon.
. The young girl was found
earlier Saturday wandering
on a country road in a state
of shock after being abducted
at gunpoint Friday by a man
who offered her a ride home
from a swimming resort.
Pierce county sheriff's offi
cers are now looking for the
owner of the abandoned car, a
1049 or 1950 Chevrolet. They
would not specify about the
girl's condition. She had ap
parently been wandering all
night before being found.
