The council now has to act on the commission's recom mendation. Public hearings were called for the commission's Aug. II, meeting on two requests for chango of zone. One of the requests Is to change two lots located near the Intersection of Highland dr. and Siskiyou blvd., from single-family to limited com mercial zones. The other request Is to change the property north of the Medford Shopping Center from n aingle-fnmlly to multiple-family zone. Dr. Durno To Leave For Interim Meeting Dr. Edwin R. Durno, Med ford, Republican nominee for representative In Congress from Oregon's fourth district, will leave here Monday to at tend state legislature interim tax committee meetings In Salem Mondny and Tuesday. He will campaign In Linn county on Wednesday and Thursday and on Krldny will leave for Chicago to attend the Republican national con vention as an alternate delegate.
