Spring flowers from the Bashes garden decorated the two serving tables which held the punch and hors d'oeuvres for the event attended by about 75 friends. Thomas H. Ness and John K. Ness, brothers of Mrs. Bash, presided at the punch bowls and assisting at the hors d'oeuvre table were Mrs. Charles W. Wakefield, sister of Mrs. Bash and Mrs. J. K. Ness. Mrs. Bash, who has been active in volley social, civic, and political affairs, was recently appointed to the state public welfare commission by Gov. Mark O. Hatfield. 1 rim! Bash, 1325 Bundy street, which honored their son Frank N. Bash, and his fiancee, Miss Susan Fay, Winchester, Mass. The couple plan a Septem ber wedding In Winchester. Miss Fay It a daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. Robert Wolcott Fay, Winchester, Mast. She attended Mt. Holyoke college and Ohio university. Mr. Bath hat been In Cambridge, Mass., where he holds a leaching fellowship at Harvard university. J, 1 ' i il.' Miss R andles, a 1960 graduate of Medford High ichool, plans to enter the University of Oregon this fall. Miss Jane Bash will return to the University of Ariiona in Tucson this fall and Miss Judy Bash, also a 1960 Medford High school class member, will attend Oregon State college. -v " Mrs. C, B. Francis chals with Miss Susan Fay, fiancee of Frank N. Bash during a parly which honored the couple at Ihe F. C. Bash home July 1. The couple returned East last Sunday where Miss Fay is working for Dr. lllley of the Harvard observatory and Mr. Bash holds a teaching fellowship at Harvard university. He is working toward a doctorate in astronomy. Mrs. Richard L. Stralton, president of the Rogue Valley alumnae chapter of Delta Gamma sorority Is shown at the Stanley hotel In Estet Park, Colo., where she recently attended the biennial Delta Gamma conven tion. The local chapter received itt charter In Decem ber, 1958, and hat members from Grants Pats, Med ford, Athland, Eagle Point and Central Point. C, visited earlier this month at the Tucker ranch on the Rogue river. With her were her mother, Mrt. Nion Tucker, San Francisco, and her ton, Nion. The family spends each tummer at Ihe ranch, but for the next several weekt Mrt. McEvoy will be in Lot Angelet and Chicago cover ing the Democratic and Republican conventions for Ihe San Francitco Chronicle. Mrt. McEvoy, formerly on the newspaper't ttaff, worked in the Steventon headquarter! In Washington, D.C. during the 1956 campaign.
