Art Pollard, the defending

Ashland speedway.
Art will appear in Ashland
even though it means he will
have to drive all night after
the races to reach Portland in
time to race there the next
afternoon.
Super-modified auto racing
is scheduled.
Track manager Jack McCoy
has mentioned that a number
of changes have been made at
the speedway. It is hoped that
the $1,000 purse will attract
a number of high-powered
cars to make it a thrilling eve
ning on the track.

They'll be back to see if they

purse back south of the bor
