In league action Cheney Studs downed Lithia Lumber 5 to 1, Timber Products beat the Mail Tribune 14 to 9, and Butte Falls drubbed Civil Service 14 to 6. In the exhi bition game S&W Floor Cov ering shut out the Dairy Maids 5 to 0. The Studs picked up two runs in the first inning on two singles, an error, and a dou ble by Bill Hollingsworth. Two more runs were tallied in the fourth on John Barlow's double, a walk, an error, and a single. In the fifth a single and an error produced the last Stud run. Big Sixth Inning Lithia tallied its lone run in the second on a double by Jer ry Montgomery, an error, and a sacrifice fly. Timber Products used a big sixth inning to down the Mail Tribune, Products scored first in the first on an error, a sin gle, and two sacrifice flys. Buns in the second were on three singles, a double, two stolen bases, a walk, and a sacrifice, this produced four runs. Six runs were tallied in the sixth on two singles, two errors, a double by Dick Hughes, and two sacrifice flys. Seventh inning runs were on a walk, Mike Smith's triple, and a sacrifice fly. The Tribune run in the first was on a single, and a double by Dick Kuschel which landed in the center field seats. Shaw Triples Scores in the sixth were on a triple by John Shaw, a sin gle, a walk, and an error. In the seventh a walk, Shaw's double, and a single produced the final two runs. Kuschel hit three doubles in four times at bat for the Trib une, knocking in three runs. Held hitless until the third inning, and not scoring until the fourth inning S&W Floor Covering downed the Dairy Maids on a five-run surge in the fourth. The runs were on a double by Jim Hawes stolen base, walk, error, .two singles, and another error. Ellen Callaghan, pitching in relief of Pat Barron, struck out six S&W hitters In the three innings she worked. 10 Runs In Frame In the other tangle Butte Falls banged out 10 runs in the first inning and still led by more than seven at the end of five innings, so the game was called. Darwin Moore's two run homer highlighted the explo sive first frame. Five walks, a hit batter and five singles also added to the score. The lone tally in the second was on a single and ground outs. Counters In the fifth were on a double, two errors, and a sacrifice fly. Civil's runs in the second were on four walks, two dou ble, and a single.
