The three Ashland men involved in the fight Feb. 6 in front of a cafe on Main st. in Ashland were El don Fagan, Eugene Raslie and Joe Roberts. They had entered pleas of innocent and a trial was pending. "Thorough investigation re vealed that the Heitsmith boy had begun the fight by asking the Ashland men outside." Hie district attorney said. "It also appeared that if he (Heit smith) hadn't gone to the car and gotten a club the fight would have ended a long time ago. I think everybody ex cept perhaps Musgrave was at fault." Musgrave did not appear to be out of line, Reeder added While the fight was serious it was not a "gang affair," the district attorney added.
