on the high side, and you're
uneasy about being heavily
invested in common stocks. At
the same time, you're not at
all sure the bull market is
over for good.
Prentice-Hall says that one
way out of the dilemma is to
shift 70-80 pel" cent of your
investment into bonds and
the remainder in fast-moving
warrants.
If, contrary to your expec
tations, the market rises, the
20 per cent or more invested
in warrants could show l
most as much capital gain as
it you had kept all your funds
in common stocks.
On the other hand, P-H
points out, if the market
drops, the loss on your war
rants can be limited, and will
b offset by some gains in
your bonds.
Dean Witter & Co. has a
list of "brand name" compa
nies which can be purchased
at attractive levels in relation
to their current earnings, divi
dends and prospects. They
are: California Packing,
Campbell Soup, National Bis
cuit, National Dairy and Swift
St Co.
One issue that seems to
have been Ignored In the hunt
for growth stocks, according
to Bache & Co., is Brlggs &
Stratton. Considering its
strong growth record and a
yield of almost 5 per cent,
the stock seems distinctly un
dervalued, Bache believes.

lege In 1058, also served as
community survey consultant
for the Georgia Department
of Public Health.
