1 200 babies, or an average ;
rate of one birth every six1
hours. It w as pointed out l hat,
whereas less than 37 per cent;
of all births took place in hos-i
pitals in 1935, more than 95
per cent of all babies are
born in hospital today.

events will start off Monday
with an open house at Rogue
Valley Memorial hospital
which will offer tours of the
building from 2 to 4 p.m., and
from 6 to 8 p.m. The annual
auxiliary tea will attain be a
feature of the open house, and
is scheduled for 2 to 4 p.m.

art-exhibit by the Southern
Oregon Society of Artists in

sociation; Mrs. Ivan Burton,
director of the bi-weekly tele
vision program on health edu
cation, and Mrs. Virginia
Kyer, executive secretary.
H. P. Jewett, Central Point,

will attend the meeting in
Portland and then will repre
sent Jackson county at the an
nual meeting of the National
Tuberculosis association

Stark and entertainment will be provided by the Populaires.
