' -MM Mr. David L Wad (Classic pliolo) Elaine Jcancttc Zier Married to David Jlade In an afternoon ceremony April 23 at First Presbyterian church, Miss Elaine Jcanelte Zier became the bride of David Lee Wade. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Zier, 2217 Dcllwood avenue, and the bridegroom is th ion of Mrs. Charles Babb, Parents Attend Wedding of Son Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Witte, 2808 South Pacific highway, left Wednesday for Everett, Wash., where they planned to attend the wedding of their son, Douglass, to Miss Bonny Looysen, of Everett. The bridegroom, a member of the Air Force, is slationcd at Payne Air Force base near Everett. Miss Looysen, who will graduate this spring from Everett High school, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne H. Looysen, Everett. The young couple will re side in Everett temporarily. Browns Entertain Family Visitors Mrs. Darrel Brown and small daughter, Sandra, flew to the United States recently from London, where Lt. Brown is on duty with the United States Air Force. Mrs. Brown and Sandra spent a week here with the officer's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Orrin L. Brown, 1203 Queen Anne avenue, and also visited her parents In Milwaukie, Ore. Other guests during the traveler's stay were Orrin Brown's two sisters. Mrs. An tony Timmers and Mrs. Roger Clark, Modesto, Calif., and Mrs. Brown's mother, Mrs. Mary Parks. Oakdale, Calif. Mrs. Parks is remaining for another week. While Mrs. Brown and her daughter were here the Orrin Browns were hosts fur two dinner parties and Mrs. W. 11. Arnold gave a coffee for the visitor. Mrs. Brown and Sandra will return east soon and will be met in New York City by Lt. Brown who will accom pany them from that city to London. 101 4 East 11th street, and Sam Wade, 1819 Spring street. The f(cv. D. Kirkland West officiated. Baskets of white stock and pink carnations dec orated the church. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a bal lerina-length gown ( .' nylon lace over taffeta witli a fitted bodire and elbow-length puffed sleeves. The full skirt was held at the waist with a satin belt. Her floating veil was held by a halo bandeau of siik organza and pearls. She carried a cascade bouquet of white carnations. The bride's sister. Mrs. Wil- lam P. Culhane, the former Faye E. Zier, Brunswick, .Maine, was matron of honor. Her sheath dress was of pink linen with pink and white accessories. She carried a colonial bouquet of pink car nations and pink rosebuds. Jack Luttrell was best man. The bride's mother wore a pink dotted Swiss dress with pink and white accessories and a white gardenia corsage. The bridegroom's mother wore a black and white cotton brocade dress with matching accessories and a white gar denia corsage. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride's parents. ; Abuut 40 friends of the couple were invited. The two younger sisters of j the bride, Jane and Mary : Zier, assisted aboul the rooms, which were decorated with spring flowers. j The bride and bridegroom i are graduates of Medford High school and have lived their en tire lives in Medford. The bridegroom is associated with his father in the Wade Refri geration service. The bride is a descendant of the pioneer families of James Stewart and Dr. Henry Demurest. The bridegroom is a member of ihe James Gran tham family, also early-day residents of the Medford area. For traveling following her wedding, the bride wore a navy blue sheath with match ing jacket and white acces sories. The newlyweds are making their home at 412 Maiuanita street following a wedding trip to San Francisco. Ceremony At Church Weds Couple m OTCPKl ! George Roseberry performed t h e double-ring ceremony at 8 o'clock in the evening at First Methodist church. About 100 guests were present. Easter lilies, calla lilies and while iris decorated the altar. Mrs. C. R. Adam son played wedding music and Miss Barbara Tyler sang. The bride's father gave her in marriage. She wore a ballerina-length dress of Chantil !y lace over nylon net, which was styled with a scalloned neckline, three-quarter-length I and sleeves and a fitted bodice, lions The veil was of nylon net, fingertip-length, held by a circlet of white blossoms, and her bouquet was of pink roses and rosebuds. Miss Linda Johnson, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Her ballerina-length gown was of periwinkle blue velvet witli a full skirt and scoop neckline. Her veil was of blue nylon net, held by a band of pink rosebuds. Mrs. Alice Duckett, grand mother of the bride, wore a lavender dress of nylon over taffeta. Her corsage was of pink rosebuds. U.U,. i Mr. and Mrs. Baldon Garth Fricka corsage of pink carna- Dean Sherwood was best man and Howard Watkins and Richard Shradcr served as ushers. A reception followed in tile church. Mrs. W. A. Tyler cut the cake. Mrs. Maxine Stone poured coffee and Mrs. Ray Still well poured punch. Pink candies decorated the bride's table and a circlet of pink camellias surrounded the punch bowl. The young people traveled to the Oregon coast and Port land on tiieir honeymoon, the bride wearing a gold and white checked linen suit. They will make tiieir home at 57 Summit avenue. tap, 1 I s Guastt attending th annual benefit tea given recently by lha Madford committee, American Cancer society, voted this flower arrangamanta mad by Mrs. Randolph Hugdahl, first plac in a flower arranging conteit entered by clubs of th city. It was mad of dogwood, orangs poppies and yellow and whll tulips with varigated leaves, and entered in th nam of Mistlto club, Royal Neighbors of America. It wu placad on a low black table, accented with figurines and th backdrop was a natural colored screen. USAF Officer To Return Here Mrs. James Lee McDaniel will go to San Francisco this week end to meet her hus band, Lt. McDaniel, who is expected to arrive Monday after duty abroad with the United States Air Force. The couple will return to Medford later this week. Mrs. McDaniel and the cou ple's children, David Allan, 5, and Dawn Leann, 2, have been making their home here at 722 Beekman street, while the officer was overseas. He reports Monday to Travis Air Force base before a 30-day leave, and at the end of the leave will go on duty at Ala meda, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. W. I. Suther i land have relumed to their t I homo at Sfi2 Garfield street ! after spending five months traveling through the south ern stales with their trailer coach. The Sutherland! saw many long-time trienas and rela tives. In Chula Vista, Calif., they visited Dr. and Mrs. Erin Merkel, and Dr. J. R. Christiansen and family in Manhattan Beach, Calif. The Christiansens were former neighbors of the Sutherland!. In San Diego the travelers spent some time with the Ted Bakers, who also formerly lived on the Old Stage road here. Other former Medford resi dents which the Sutherland! saw during their travels were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Yost, who now live in the Safari Trailer court, El Cajon, Calif., and the Richard Greens at Castro Valley. Mrs. Green, the for mer Bernice Wilson, was at one time a public health nurse in Jackson county. John M e h 1, formerly a neighbor of the Sutherland, is now resident manager of the Senator hotel in Sacra mento, Calif. To Give Concert The annual spring concert presented by the vocal music department of Medford High school will be held Thursday, May 12, at 8 p.m. in the high school auditorium. The program is the last ma jor performance of the chool year. Included in the program will be selection by the choir, advanced girls chorus, non ette. and soloists. The choir recently present ed "Oklahoma" and made a tour to Willamette university, Lewis and Clark college and North Eugene High school. Isaac, Central Point, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Isaac, Ocean Lake, in a cere mony held April 16 at Chapel in the Pines, Prospect. The Rev. George h. Fitch officiated at the single ring rites attended by 75 relatives and friends. Dogwood and flowering quince decorated the church for the iix o'clock evening wedding. Mr!. Bar nett Lytle was soloiit and Miss Jill Hedgepeth played the piano music. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a while lace over taffeta frock in bal- lerina length fashioned with large puffed sleeves. Her veil was shoulder length and ihe carried a bouquet of white , camellias and sweet peas. j Miss Tina Warren, Grants Pass, was maid of honor for her cousin. Miss Joyce Moore ' and Miss Bonnie Mann, Cen tral Point, cousin of the bride, were bridesmaids. They wore pastel colored frocks in bal lerina length and carried pink camellias and sweet peas. William Isaac, Ocean Lake, served as best man for his brother. Seating the guests were Martin Gilkey and Jim Everndon, cousin of the bride groom, both Central Point. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Prospect Community hall. Mrs. Floyd Everndon, aunt ! of the bridegroom, cut and served the wedding cake and Mrs. James Slack presided at the punch bowl. Mrs. Halvor I Garden poured the coffee. Miss Warren was in charge of the guest book and Miss Bonnie Mann and Miss Joyce Moore were at the gift table. For her daughter's wedding and reception Mrs. Sargent wore a blue silk print dress dress witli white accessories and pink camellia corsage. For her traveling attire the Mr. Isaac attended. Elkton High school and is em ployed by Mt.
