The school will be held June 18 to 23. The 4-H'ers will livt in college dormi tories, fraternity and sorority houses and will have n op portunity to meet club mem bers from all parts of Oregon. They will have a variety of subjects from which to choose during class hours which will be taught by college instruc tors, extension agents and pro fessional people. Swimming, exchange dinners and inform al get-togethers are some of the entertainment activities available. Those selected to attend from Jackson county are Bon nie Knapp, George Mitchel, Mary Kay Hockstatter, Mary Ann Carnegie, Heather Rode, Roxanne Terry, Martha Hum phrey, Marjorie Wonderly, Martha Bullard, Russell Fields, James Scott. Chin Buffington and Raymon Nou guier, Medford. Laura May Noble, Patsy Charley, Paulette Anderson, Alice Woolfolk, Georgia Hub bard, Teresa Pruett, Donna Geren, Susie Carroll, Judy Hill, Karen Jossy, Ellen Hay, Florence Woolfolk, Frances Huffcan, Jerry Moore and Ric Meyer, Eagle Fofnt. Local Chairman Of Drive Named Mrs. George Rode, 2242 Buena Vista dr., has been ap pointed Jackson county chair man of the 1960 World Peace conference to be held; in the Multnomah hotel in Portland May 12 and 13. The confer ence is sponsored by the Dem ocratic party of Oregon. Mrs. Beulah Hand, Demo cratic state vice chairman and director of women's activities, announced Mrs. Rode's ap pointment. The 1960 conference is the first of its kind to be held on the west coast. Mrs. Hand is urging all interested per sons to contact their county chairman for complete details. All womerfs organizations in the state have been invited to participate and a special invitation has been issued to men to attend. The conference ' program will feature panel discussions on the political and econoitiic dimensions of peace, and "peace and disarmament." Former C o n g r esswoman Helen Gahagan Douglas will speak Friday, May 13, and Mrs. . Wayne Morse will ad dress the May 12 luncheon. Mrs. Maurine Neuberger will speak at the May 13 luncheon. Among panel participants are Charles A. Sprague, form er Oregon governor; Karlin M. Capper-Johnson, president of the Oregon UN association; Prof. Raymond F. Mikesell, University of Oregon; and Kalesh Dudharkar, Bombay, India. Foreign students also will speak.
